The Benefits and Drawbacks of Being the Only Girl in the Family

Our family consists of four siblings. Two older brothers and one younger brothers. I am in the middle and I am the only daughter in the family. As I grew older, I realized there are numerous benefits and drawbacks to being the family's only daughter. And I listed down all my benefits and drawbacks.

BENEFITS:

• Among the four of them, I am the most popular. (Because I am the only daughter, they quickly give it to me when I ask for something; when they buy clothes or food, I have more than my boys.)

• When someone bullies me, I have four brothers who stand by my side (Many people my age tease me, fortunately I have four brothers and they are always behind me.)

• I am the only one who can go with my parents wherever they go.(Inevitably our parents have a walk and they do not allow me to be left with my siblings, they want to take me with them always.)

• I can eat my favorite part of the whole chicken haha!(When it comes to the dinner table, we always fight over our favorite part of the chicken, it's a good thing my mom always gives me my favorite part of the whole chicken.)

• I am the most important among the four of them.(Because I was the one who was sick then, my parents always worried about me.)

• When I have new and attractive clothes, none of my brothers are jealous. (Of course, Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

 DRAWBACKS:

• I am the one who does all the dishes. (When my brothers finished eating, they just left and I was left to put away the food and wash the dishes.)

• I am the one who does all the house chores.(I am always the only one who cleans and they are always scattered, and because I am an only child, cleaning the house is associated with it.)

• No one wants to play with me. (they don't want to include me, they say I'll cry when I lose, and they also say I can't relate to them.)

• Boys talk?? I am always out of place. (When the four of them are complete, they are always serious about what they are talking about and I am out of place because they have their own terms.)

• When my parents get sick, I am the only one who is taking care of them.(Because my siblings are all boys, I am always the one left at home and taking care of them, especially when our parents get sick.)

• When the four of them were fighting, I was always in the middle, I was told to separate and greet them, it was just annoying because I was almost punched.

• When a guest comes to see me, especially a man, they are the ones who entertain them and make me the one who prepares their snacks.

• I can't go out with my friends unless one of my brothers is with me. (I was irritated when one of my brothers was with me since my friends taunt me about having a bodyguard despite the fact that I am of legal age.)

• When I can't wash their clothes, they nag me more than my mother. (As the family's only girl, I had no choice but to do everything my four brothers told me to do.)

REALIZATION;

I used to think that being the only girl in the family and having four stubborn brothers was scary, but then I realized that I must be lucky because, despite their being hard headed, a great nagger, and stubborn, I know I am safe because I know that, despite their treatment of me, they still care for me because I am their only sister.

LAST THOUGHTS

I tried to persuade people that I wasn't a princess because I was the lone girl when I was younger.

However, the truth is that I am.

As I grew older, my understanding of the term "princess" shifted. Because I am treasured, I am the princess of our family.

Because I am a girl, my brothers love me so much and in such a different way than they love each other.

They want to keep me safe.

To those who are only girls out there? at least say Hi 🙋 , I know and I can relate to you too but you are lucky enough because you have a lot of boys who is always there for you and ready to protect you.
