The World From my eyes

Just recently we have seen the new direction in the world has taken and this path seems to be on a very fast drive which is why a lot of people are still battling to understand it. Before I continue, I will use this opportunity to inform you that you are blessed to be among the people who are moving in the same direction as the world. This is something a lot of us take for granted be we do not know what it feels like to be ignorant of the common changes in the world today. You have been able to hear about cryptocurrency, Blockchain, NFTs, Metaverse and also P2E. Billions of folks out there are completely not aware of these great changes that must take place for the world to maintain its circle. This is not because they do not want to know rather it is because they have decided to play ignorant even when it is staring them in the face. This is the very same thing that happens when you decided to play ignorant in your relationship even when it is very clear that your partner is cheating on you. Most times we decide not to put our minds to the test by trying to think outside the box in other to know why things around us are changing.

Some will give themselves this crazy explanation; change is constant in life. I cannot say that the statement is not true but one challenge a lot of having is that we accept change even before it comes. Let us look at a scenario where you see your child who just turned eighteen smoking when you know that he has never smoked all his life. Some parents will immediately say that it is what comes with his new age while some others will carefully observe him and if possible have a chat with him to understand why he is smoking. This is exactly how most of us swallow a lot of things without making an effort to truly understand why such things should happen in the first place. Now, the world has moved on a serious journey to a place where it might be very hard for anyone who does not catch up now to understand a thing. You must be wondering why I am writing this post. The truth is that I have come to understand that millions of youths are not aware of what is happening in the world. It may not be their fault or it may but whatever be the case, we must make an effort to tell a friend.

Let’s get back to the major reason for this post. You cannot become what you do not conceive. This is a statement that came out of a place of deep thought and meditation. So many times we pray and wish to have the good things of life but we fail to do the commonest thing we can do to enable that change to happen. We cannot keep running away whenever it becomes hard for our reason is that challenges are tools that are necessary for our growth in life. Let us look at this instance. A boy grew up in the village and after his education in the same village, he decided to travel to the city for greener pasture or should I call it a good life. What I am about to say affects those from the developing world. Now, this boy who has spent years in the village while growing and schooling knows the challenges that face the entire village more than any outside. By the time he finishes schooling, instead of looking at the problem from the point of finding a solution he will rush off to the city looking for greener pastures. How can you find greener pastures in a city where a lot of houses have taken over the fields? Read that question again if you want to understand what it means.

By the time he leaves his village for the city, he will gain employment over there and as he works his life out every month he will continue to send money back home which practically will not solve the very problem that made him leave. Let us assume that he left because there was no money. He will spend years working in search of money which will never bring in more money in the village because the moment he sends it those he left in the village will finish. Let us imagine that this young man who is the first in the village to go to school spends ten years or more in the city trying to make money, a lot of others will grow up and follow his footsteps thereby leaving the village in the same condition he left it. Now, let us imagine that this young guy finishes schooling and found out that the village is very poor. Instead of travelling to the city, he could decide to start up a business with materials that can be sold to those in the city in exchange for money. He can decide to go into farming and export his produce to the city and by so doing he has created a means by which the village can make direct income. The beautiful thing is that every other person coming behind him will see the need to join in the same business.

Why do you think people were sold during the time of slavery? It was because the slave masters understood that the only way for them to make their village great is by increasing the workforce in their farms in other to have more products for exportation. This same process is still being used today by countries that understand the power of domestic development. Although slavery is no longer used as a means to achieve this rather they open their borders and even go to the extent of giving free visas to those who are intelligent enough to bring positive change to their economy and their country at large. Why run away from home when you can stay and bring the change which you are looking for? We can run but we cannot solve our problems by running away from them rather we can only solve our problems by facing them with all our might and being.
