The Demon Within.

“I have tried so hard for it not to happen again and each time I try it becomes even harder for me to control it. How did I get to this crossroad? Oh, my life is definitely in ruins. This demon has taken over my life”.

This was the lamentation of a man whose demon has taken over his life even as he has done everything possible to be in control. Whenever his demon manifests, everyone around him sees him as the devil even when he is nothing close to the devil. It is no fault of his that this demon has sunken deep into his soul and body but, how can he be able to convince people that he is not doing this entire wicked act willingly? I bet no one will believe him even if he tries to explain it all to them.

The demon within

For every man or woman living under the surface of the earth, there is a demon that resides within which can only be drawn out when it is allowed to manifest. The demon I am talking about is not the kind of spiritual possession that requires exorcism for it to be cast out rather this is the type of demon that is transferred from one person to another especially from adults to children. The truth is that our world is seriously suffering from these demonic possessions which have taken control of the youth who must have contacted these demons at a very tender age. I believe you are wondering the type of demon I am talking about but before I go into full details, I would like to plead with those who might be fighting one demon or the other to understand that this post is not meant to aggravate or remind them of their past experiences. But in any case, this post makes you remember your pasts please I want you to know that it was not intentional.

Child Molestation; our greatest Demon

There has been an ongoing fight against rape in all spheres of our society but it seems as if the war cannot be won. I have heard a lot of rape stories ranging from children to teenagers. In all of these, one thing has been neglected and that is what I believe is standing as a great barrier to the course of winning the war against the rape of all kinds. It might interest you to know that a child who was molested does not only need a chancellor to heal from the trauma but will also need the grace of God to outlive the ugly experience which must have sunken deep into his brain. Let us look at this scenario. A girl or boy child who has been molested at a young age is at the risk of carrying out the same act on other children when he/she has grown up and especially if he/she was not properly taken care of.

You may think that the effect of molestation is something that can be managed or controlled but I believe that when a child is molested, the brain of the child copies and saves all the things that have happened to him and this saved data will resurface in the future to become his greatest demon. I read in the news about how a father was constantly molesting his 11 years daughter for more than 3 years before he was caught. Now, what do you think will be the future of this girl? The day I read about the news, I could not but wonder how and what could make a man do such a wicked and inhumane act on his child. I began to question the man’s sanity because it was terrible to imagine how the girl’s life has turned out to be. Let us imagine that the girl has gotten some sort of counselling and medical care, do you think she will forever live and behave like a normal person? This is the very question I have asked myself over and over again.

Now, this girl will either become a child molester in future or she will no longer be able to control her libido as a lady which means that she will do anything for sex. If in the course of trying to find the satisfaction she goes to molest a boy child, how then can we blame her for such an act? This is where we all must look inward to understand the root cause of every rape or molestation in other to solve the mystery of the demon within. Of course, this is not to say that all rapists and child molesters are suffering the same issue of having a demon within because I believe that there are a lot of rapists out there who out of no root cause decided to become rape addicts. So these sets of people do not deserve any form of sympathy once they are caught because they will not waste a minute to go back to it if given the chance. The worse part of rape or molestation is when the victim is meant to keep it secret because of family affiliation with the rapist.

Just like in the case of the 11-year-old girl whose father has been molesting for over 3 years. I believe that the mother of the girl found out and because she did not want such scandal in her family, she may have decided to tell the girl not to talk or tell anybody about it. The story made it clear that the mother could not take it anymore when the girl got pregnant at the age of 14. That was when she was forced into talking to welfare. A lot of families are going through this ordeal and the girl or boy child is told to keep quiet to avoid being sent out of the house.

Most times this happens to families where the mother is completely a housewife and has no means of livelihood. The man will use money and comfort to seal up the wives heart while he continues in his wicked act. There was another story of a man who has been having sex with her four daughters and as God may have it, two of them got pregnant for him. In that case, it was the youngest of his daughters who summoned enough courage to talk to her pastor because she could not endure the guilt of sleeping with his father every weekend.

The demon I am talking about is that type of demon we should try as much as possible to fight if we truly want to win the war against rape and child molestation. One thing we all must understand is that no matter how we try to hide such wicked and inhumane acts it will surely come out in the open because the law of nature abhors it. We should be ready to speak up at all times irrespective of our affiliation with the molester or rapist because our silence is their success.
