No Easy Way to the Whitehouse.

When you begin to look at the long list of past American presidents and the history behind their political journey, you will understand that there is no easy way to the Whitehouse. Lisa made up her mind to take up the job of a shop attendant because she did not want to involve herself in the family business. Her reason was simple; make your own money and be your boss… She sees how her father controls her siblings who were working under him and that made her take that decision of working for her money.

Her first day at work was an experience she never expected to have since she was not under her father. The manager called her just as she was about to go for her lunch break and asked her to seat in for her colleague who had taken an excuse early from the manager. At first, she did not think it twice or bother about it but, when she had spent over an hour without any sight of her college for her to go for a lunch break, she could not take it anymore. Immediately, she walked into the office of the manager demanding that she be allowed to go for her lunch break. The response she got was what killed her more. The manager looked at her for some time and said; you are not here to eat, go back to your post…

At this response, Lisa’s resolve was broken and shattered into pieces because she has overheard her siblings who were working under their father discussing how their father allows them to go for lunch. It was there and then she realized that she has made a grave mistake for not agreeing to work under her father. She forgot that there is no easy way to the Whitehouse.

The little story you just read now is for you to understand that no matter how easy it may sound or look, success is never gotten on a platter of gold. You must be ready to do the work that will bring you success. One great piece of advice I have not allowed to go out of my mind is; don’t rejoice when you get free money because there is no such thing as free money even in Freetown. The truth is that when you allow yourself to be carried away by how easy and simple it has become for you to make money, you will end up losing focus. The easier it becomes for you to make money, the harder it becomes for the money to be genuine.

Don’t allow anybody to deceive you by telling you that there is free money anywhere in the world or even on the internet. For instance, those who have made some sort of success on this platform will narrate to you how they have put in so much effort to be where they are today. For newbies, you might think it is just to write anything and post for rusty to tip you. I bet you, by the time you have spent over two to three months without making any headway, you will notice that your level of interest in writing will reduce. This is because you joined not out of passion but because you felt it was an easy way to make money. I repeat there are no easy ways to the Whitehouse, if you doubt me ask Hillary Clinton.

This applies to every sphere of our life. When you see people who are genuinely successful out of hard work and consistency, you will see that they made a conscious decision to be successful against all odds. Most of us are so weak in our mind that once we try something the first time and it did not work out we will give up. This is the easiest way to fail. Mind you, you are not a failure when you fail and continue to try again and again but, you become a failure when you decide not to try again after failing. Remember the scientist who produced the light bulb. He failed over and over again until he achieved success. In all those times he failed, it was never recorded that people called him a failure. This is the difference between success and failure. The truth is that the moment you give up on something after failing, you automatically become a failure. Why do you think politicians keep coming back to contest for an electoral post even after losing the election over and over again? This is because they understand that failure only comes when you give up and stop trying.

Have you stopped fighting? Do you think there is an easier way to succeed other than the way you are going right now? Do you think that success comes easy and cheap? If you find yourself having any of these thoughts in your head, you need to read through this post again just to have a better understanding of what I have said about success and its easiness. Remember, once it becomes easy for you to do, it is time for you to move to the next level just as we see in the virtual games we play. In that way, you will never feel that success is easy and cheap. Think about it and make the necessary corrections, you may not have enough time to waste. See you at the top.
