Animal Love.
I am sure you are having a great time either with yourself, your friends or your family. However or whoever you are spending the weekend with, just understand that happiness is the key to survival. Do everything you can to live a life of happiness irrespective of the circumstances around or condition of the economy in your country. I am a strong believer in love and coexistence, therefore, focus more on making people happy and you will see how happy your life will become. Spread love and see how love will become your best friend. In the spirit of love and happiness, I write this post today as a means of reminding you of our closest neighbours or those you may refer to as animals.
Our Closest Neighbours.
However you wish to understand it, you use not forget that the animals are our closest neighbours. It has become so worrisome how we treat them, especially the ones that have managed to get even closer than the others. We may have our very difference in the love of animals but one thing is sure, we must not forget that they have families and friends amongst their kind. What this means is that anytime you kill an animal mistakenly or knowingly, you have succeeded in taking away a friend, child or even a parent. What I saying now will sound so stupid to some of us reading this post but the truth must be told at all costs.
I see how we feel whenever we receive news of the passing away of a family member or friend, we are always devastated at such news. Now imagine how these poor animals feel when they do not see their father, mother or children back in the fold by the end of the day. It's funny how I am writing about animals right? But just use a minute to think about them and how they must have felt when they could not see their loved ones at the time they suppose to see them. If you must have noticed how these creatures behave, you will understand that they truly have a family or at least a community they run back to every day. Have imagined why the rats in your area or even in your house keep moving together irrespective of the fact that you always set traps to catch them?
This is because they have families and communities or what we call packs. This is why you will see one rat today in your house and the next day they have become two. This number keeps growing as long as they can find food around or within your house.
They do not have Hospitals or Doctors.
Yes, they do not have doctors or hospitals in the bush or forest where they have run to for safety. As humans, once we begin to have the slightest feeling of illness we do not waste a minute before rushing to the hospital for a checkup. Have you cared to ask yourself this question; Who treats these animals when they get sick in the forest? Take a look at the image below.
This monkey must have been hit by a car either while trying to cross the road. Look at the pain, shock and fear on her face. Irrespective of her pain, you can see her suckling her baby. What does that tell you? These animals have a strong resolve to survive the harsh nature and conditions around them. I am sure if a human nursing mother is bleeding just like the monkey she would be rushed to the nearest hospital. The monkey has no one, doctor or hospital to run to for medical care so she will have to endure the pain as long as it lasts. Why not show a little kindness to them wherever you see them? Just imagine the pain and the amount of blood the monkey must have lost.
I have seen a lot of dead animals on the road and I am sure that they were hit by a driver as they tried crossing the road. Yes, you might argue that they are not supposed to cross the road. You have forgotten that they are animals and a little low in thinking than humans. What it means is that we are the ones who are saddled with the work of thinking for them anytime any day. As a driver, you must try as much as possible to allow these our neighbours to cross the road safely. If for any reason you mistakenly hit them, don't find it so hard to render help by taking them to any nearby veterinary centre. Love and happiness are all that we need in our world today, therefore, share it around whenever you can.
I understand that we are not all animal lovers but we should at least respect them by leaving them be and not hurting them.
