While the Commodore 64 was probably the best 8-bit computer from a technical point of view, the Atari 8-bit line of computers wasn't far behind and had several years head start. A.N.A.L.O.G. Computing was one of the most popular magazines covering that line of computers in the U.S. In 1981, when this issue was published, the Commodore 64 was still two years away.
