What are the 5 tools required for troubleshooting a power supply.?

1. fBasic electronics training and understanding of power supplies

2. Schematic diagram of the power supply and repair manual if it exists

3. Tools (Soldering iron, screwdrivers, pliers, solder, flux…)

4. Multimeter that measures voltages (AC and DC), current and electrical resistance.

5. Patience

Also that some power supplies cannot be repaired as they are in a sealed enclosure. These are usually cheap “throwaway” types. PC power supplies and plug-in wall power supplies generally are in this category.
