We were all having a beautiful, nice and lovely weekend as I and my friends were awaiting the biggest football match of the game week. It was an English Premier League match between Manchester United and Liverpool.
There was a lot of banting before the match especially by Chelsea fans who had won 7-0 to Norwich but nevertheless Manchester United fans had great expectations for the match because they had won a match against Atalanta during the week which ended 3-2 thanks to a comeback.
There was power outage in our hostel, so we had to go to the school's football viewing center very early so as to secure a front row seat to view the match very clearly.
At the time we got to the viewing center, we met only few people there watching another match between Real Madrid and Barcelona which is popularly known as the 'El Classico'. It was then it dawned on us that those two fixtures clashed but little did I know that those fixtures would lead to a fight between three young guys
At the viewing center there are two television sets, one of them runs smoothly while the other one lags and reduces the quality of what you're watching. The match between Manchester United and Liverpool was being displayed on the bad TV set because the El Classico had begun earlier.
As the match went on, the majority of the people at the viewing center were complaining to switch the El Classico to the bad TV so as to watch the Premier league on the good TV and every one agreed to that because majority of the people there came to watch the premier league but there was only one guy who opposed this and out of annoyance( he was a Barcelona fan) he went to switch off the TV and every one got very angry. There was a young guy at the center who confronted him and told him what he did was wrong but then another Barcelona fan stood up and supported his co - fan and then an argument started which lead to a fight due to the swear words used during the argument.
After the fight went on for five minutes, there was intervention from two guys ( a Barcelona fan and a Liverpool fan) and that was how the fight was resolved, after all the games had ended, the guys involved in the fight shook hands exchanged contacts and that was how they became friends.
Meanwhile, the match ended 5-0 in favour of Liverpool and Mohammed Salah scored an hat-trick and had an assist, Christiano Ronaldo scored a goal but it was ruled as offside.
The problem Manchester United faced in the game was their defense and besides one of their key players was shown a red card and many fans also complained that the coach is not performing as he should and they want him sacked.
Well, Manchester United face another tough fixture next weekend again Tottenham Hotspurs. Till then let's stay anticipated.
