Some years ago, while I was coaching a boy preparing for his WAEC (West Africa Examinations Concil) exams, I came across a poem in his literature textbook that I fell in love with instantly. I have written down and copied to different books, rough paper and diary. I just really like the poem. Here it is;

***Judging his plans and behaviors***
***Judging his speech and egotism***
***You are the patient judge;***
***Nations plan without thee in view***
***They boast of their will***
***But soon you show their follies***
***Tomorrow and tomorrow, go here and there.***

There it is. It was titled; **You are the patient judge.** I literally fell in with the poem, maybe it's because I have always esteemed the major subject of discussion as the most important thing. I believe when you lose that, you lose everything. I believe that the subject topic is not a fixed factor and has been only enslaved by very few people. Some of those people includes; the determined, the planner and doers and the those who are wise in God!

I am wishing everyone a happy Sunday from my side here. Things in Nigeria could get chaotic and unstable if care is not taken. The CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria) has directed all churches to go out enmass and protest against the killing of Deborah, a 200Level student of Sokoto university after she was accused of blasphemy the name of the islam founder, Muhammad.
From the screenshots of the chat and voice note released, it can be reduced that she only spoke against posting of materials, including religious materials, which are not academic literatures on the class group chat. But the blood thirsty student went after her, beat her to death and burnt her body to ashes all in the name of protecting their leader's name, which was not even blashemed in the first place.
Following the name that irate youths of the Islamic faith has trooped out to the police station where two suspects connected with the murder was held, and demanded their release. Many parties including the UK consulate, CAN and other important personality and controversial figures like Aisha and Seyi Kuti have come out to speak against such acts (with the exception of Aisha and Reno omokri). Seyi Kuti said in a bitter yet revealing words and I quote;
**Islam is only a religion of peace and calmness all are Muslims.**
What true words!
But does this mean there are no really peaceful and calm Muslims? Of course there are, I even have a few as friends.
Conclusion
I beseech that we take caution. I am not saying we shouldn't protest infact I am going to join the protest when it reaches my state because this can not be allowed to continue to happen, but we should be vigilant and protest with sense, don't destroy anything or insult any religious image all in the name of protest. They violated my human right

The various laws imbedded in the Constitution of a country like Nigeria is to prevent people from infringing on other's right and privacy. Despite the presence of these laws, human right violation is still very much practiced and the worst thing is, it is done with outright impunity and confidence.
I think the major reasons why right infringement are carried out by people are:
***The ineffectiveness of the law .***
***Pure ignorance.***
The first one is carried out by law enforcement agencies and others who know the law but take it for granted because they believe they are above and can't be prosecuted by the law. Take for example the Abba kyari's case, the End SARS saga, public money embezzlement and so many other events that was not even captured on camera.
The second one on the other hand is done by the people of the society against themselves. We witness this almost everyday but don't really know that it is against the law. One happened to me some days ago.
We live in what some would call an estate but I can't really call it that if you know what I mean 😂 So, there is this party that was done in one the front of house in a street away from my house. It was a burial ceremony of an old woman who died sometimes ago. They had started the party around 10am in the morning and continued till around 6pm in the evening. I wasn't really bothered about the noise they were making one because that's they way we Nigerians know how to party; you must make noise with speakers and a loudmouth MC 😂. Two, because I was busy doing something which took my attention, helping me to block out the noise. At 6 when I still heard the noise, which was not getting any lower but seems like the party just started, I was surprised. I decided to check the venue of the party out. It turned out that there was no body there again apart from the DJ, some guys drinking and smoking their lives away, some girls doing what is not proper and some adults which were just indifferent to what was going on. The house was a *'face me, I face you'* apartment consisting of atleast 8 rooms. I returned home really angry. If you read my last post, I made mention that I have not been able to sleep for some days ago which as really affected me. Just when I was returning back to normalcy, this people came with their party.
I ate quite early and by 8pm, I was already preparing to sleep. But these people won't allow that because of the noise they were making. I left from my room and went to my mom's room to sleep since it was a bit quite there compared to mine but it was chilling in there and I'm not really a fan of Cold. I love raining season but I prefer a warm weather. So, I ran back to my room.
I stood awake till 12 am thinking these people would put off the music by then and go to sleep or reduce the volume. But to my dismay, they didn't! And since it was midnight the sound was amplified by the moving wind. I was so angry. I was just pacing up and down, checking the time at intervals and was so sleep deprived. I know my right of peaceful living as been violated and I really wish I can get the police to arrest those people but then I thought of the idea and concluded that it will be a waste of time and resources if the police finally gets there and the people, some of whom are *Yahoo boys*, bribe them. They would just turn against me and probably arrest on a count of disturbing public peace and hindering a public function. They won't try that overseas, but we not in the overseas. So, I endured it through the night and just as it was around 4-5am, they decided to put off the music. It was then I was able to sleep and by 8 again they resumes their party.
The most annoying part was when they wanted to bury the old woman, they were all crying like real flood if tears! I was shocked. I was like ' no be this people dey play one corner and the likes yesterday and were busy eating, smoking, and commiting all forms of immoral act? I guess life is really not more than 6 feets.
Conclusion
The infringement on people's fundamental rights should not be condone. Infact it must be prosecuted with no bias. This reminds me of the case of a young Christian girl that was killed three days in sokoto state, Nigeria. She was killed because they said she blasphemed the name of their prophet. Isn't that barbaric? And up till now, none of the perpetrators have been caught or prosecute. Then, it's safe to say some people are above the law. I don't support blasphemy as I believe each and every religion should be given it due respect, including traditional religion, but killing her the name of defending your religion? No, that's just absurd.
So don't violated other people's right, because if it were you, you won't like.

Insomnia
It's been three days since I last posted here, this is because of my lack of ability to sleep which as really drained my mental capacity and results to a little bit if muscle dystrophy. The inability to sleep as at when due is called INSOMNIA.
I don't really know the cause in my own case, but some things that cause it in others include: Excessive thinking, anxiety, nightmares, side effects of some drugs among others.
My mom had to buy some milk and beverages for me so I can regain strength as I was so drained of energy. I started taking drugs yesterday. I should have started a little while ago but I'm not a drug type. The drugs sure did their works but also not without it own side effects. I couldn't even concentrate well on my work and couldn't even type talkless writing an article.
I'm feeling much better now. I was able to sleep for close to 4hours this afternoon (this is the longest I have slept since three days ago). It's true that the things we take for granted and do impulsively have the greatest effect on us. Also, we don't know what we have till we lose it. I'm thankful for the gift of Life and the ability to sleep.
Horrors of hell
I had a deep thought this afternoon on the horrors of hell. If not been able to sleep for 3 days can cause this much damage, imagine not been able to sleep forever and worse still, you are been tormented in the ever burning Lake of fire. Is not therefore wise to choose life which shockingly is given freely?
I pray the Lord will empower us to always choose the right decisions in Jesus name, Amen.

Weird inventions throughout history
Not to deviate from the main topic, there have been a lot of inventions by notable scientist and inventors. Where some have made the living of much more easier and comfortable, some are used to destroy human life and property yet some others are just weird🤔

1. Brush and shine
Mr. Ted Spence, engineer of the Los Angeles Brush Manufacturing Corp., demonstrates the new "Hairline Brush" in Los Angeles, Calif., Jan. 12, 1950. The brush is constructed to fit a bald head's contour, with bristles for brushing the sideburn area and a felt pad to gently massage the exposed scalp on the top.

6. Nuclear bomb shelter

The shelter was designed by Thomas Villa, a Milwaukee architect. It is 8 feet by 8 feet by 14 feet 8 inches high, and can hold 8 to 12 persons in an emergency. It can be buried in the earth for added protection. Covered with three feet of earth, it is said that the shelter would be safe, within three quarters of a mile of ground zero if a 20 megaton nuclear bomb were to be dropped. Filters can be installed to make the air inside safe.

This quite hard for me cause I have some series of wish lined in my head. Since I was a kid, one of the thing I have really wished for was to be a very great man of God full of the holy Spirit and power. I so much love to not only preach the word but show the evidence in power and spirit. So, there it is, I would wish to be a mighty man of God devoted to the manifestations of his words.

Kushyzee already chose right. Yeah, it's nice to be able to hear the thought of others; their secret curses and blessings in their hearts, what they really think of you, the inneer thoughts of a kidnapper perfecting his plans in his heart. But the heart of man is full of evil says the Bible. You would probably become embittered and sad by the various thought of your so called friends and even the Thoughts of respected people, you'd probably resort to isolation. So, I'd pick time control, probably correct some mistakes, prevent a terrorist from being a terrorist 😂 predict the future and adjust my life to in that wise. Imagine me going back in time to buy 1000BTC for myself then returning to the future to spend it🤩😂 But then again, time travel has it own risks atleast Dr. Barner in AVENGERS END GAME made some notable discussion on this.

This article as been sitting in my draft for sometimes now. I got the inspiration to complete it today after reading @Mictorrani post "Suggested reading 25" with about 80% of the posts featured centered towards Consistency (both in Crypto and life generally).
The nature of consistency
Why would you look at a friend or someone you have known for sometimes now and say he or she is a good, bad, generous, stingy, smart or a foolish person? Pardon me for trying to indulge your thinking faculty to get a deeper insight into the topic before hand.
Consistency is Defined as:
reliability or uniformity; the quality of being consistent
the degree of viscosity of something

According to the definition above It means being reliable or having uniformity. It is having a quality of been consistent. If I may, I would say the ability to maintain a certain line of action (intellectually or physically) over a significant period of time.
Consistent is a rich master
When we imbibe the nature of been consistent in our lifestyle, we would surely be rewarded. You see consistency is like a task master, so long as you do what you used to do (wether good or bad), it will reward you for it. When you set a goal to be achieved in a certain time frame, been consistent is what will make that goal materialise. Cristiano Ronaldo was once interviewed at a time and ask the secret of his success. He gave a very simple answer, he said ' Well, I am talented. But what is talent without Work and the work is done everyday. So I am what I am today because I consistently work to improve my talent'. Wow! Great words from a great player. I'm a huge fan of his by the way🤩😁
Benefits of being consistent
It makes you genuine. From one of the definition about, consistent itself is defined as being free from contradiction. It is the same Everytime. Being consistent makes you have your own personal identity, your own special Aurora. It makes you who you are. You don't have to lie or pretend that you're another person or another thing.
It keeps you at the forefront of your endeavors. In your choice career, all you need is to be consistent and diligent to your work. It will make you stand out among the crowd.
Brings your dreams to reality. A man who is inconsistent in his ways, would only envision and dream, but let him forget manifestations of those dreams.
It creates wealth for you. I once stayed in a room with an internet fraudster (called Yahoo Yahoo in my country), I was amazed to the fact that this person would make sure he chats with his 'client' for atleast 3hrs a day at around 7pm in the evening and around 2am in the night. He would have to be doing that for atleast 2 to 3 months before his client would fall and get ripped. I do not support fraud, so if you too can get a legal source of income, be consistent in it. Don't wait till you get a job offer with huge pay before you start work. Get something doing and be consistent in it. Take for example: some tiktok users have made millions of naira through their channels because they would make either a funny video or any other entertaining video and they stick to it. As times goes on, their subscribers would reach a large amount then companies would come to them to advertise their products. They were able to create wealth for themselves using their digital sets but not without consistency.
You become a true son of God. One of the thing God loves in a man is consistency. He loves one who would remain true to him and who won't change at anytime.
If you trust God, he will never put you to shame, but when he trusts you and sees that you are trustworthy, he makes a shame removal yourself. Only one who is consistent will be trustworthy because you can predict them, you can beat your chest and testify for them in their absence.

The cabals helped me
There are times in ones life where you go through some phases. These phases maybe smooth or rough but whichever one, don't let it define or shapen you for the worst.
As we proceed in life and as our age increase, we would definitely come across certain times when we would have to or want to pull over our old personality and put on the personality we want for ourselves jus like a snake shedding it scales to take on new form. But while doing this, we may unconsciously lose the person we are meant to be.
I, myself, am no different from everyother person. Infact, I recently went through the defining phase of my life. Thank God for the friends, @Aimure @Mhizutty @Talon and @Kushyzee ,whom God used to direct me back, they were the ***CABALS,*** so called by my classmates.
Don't take me for granted
Arguably one of the most important things we cherish in life in our self esteem and the way we want people to address us. I come from a background where humility, respect for others and self development are taught as the fundamentals of Life. Getting to university, I started doubting if that was really the way it should be especially the respect for others. It all started from the second semester of my second year in the Uni. My classmates know me to be a Christian, I remember when they would even call me pastor. One of the principles Jesus gave his disciples is placing others before you and learn to live peaceably with everybody 'as much as it depends on you'. But then, people and their opportunist behaviour always trying to take advantage of you and trample you to the ground all because they see you as someone that's too calm and won't retaliate or some may even take you to be a fool. I for one love to keep my self esteem untampered. Back to the story, my classmates started misbehaving towards me and I was so pissed. If I try to ignore and shun them, they would only use that medium to override me the more. Then one day, I decided that I had had enough of their behaviors and won't take any nonsense from them anymore. So I started standing up for me self and returning any form of abuse or ridicule from my classmates. You know when an introvert by default tries to start acting like an extrovert, he is bond to always over do and go overboard. That was exactly what happened to me. In my quest to keep my self esteem and shake away any insult from my body, ***I lost myself.*** I literally became another person entirely. There is a saying that when you stay too long in the dug, you tend to carry it property with you. I stayed too long in that phase and it really made me lose a lot of things the first being myself and the second been my relationship with God. I was comfortable in that zone, I now had friends one would never thought I'd speak with, I almost indulge in things that was against my faith. True to the saying "You'd never know the value of what you have till you lose it". Deep inside of me, I knew everything was not well but I have found a new ground which supposedly gave me insurance.
The fight for deliverance
Then came this day where I and @Mhizutty had a ruckus over something that was so minute. Yes it was minute but it was a great step to my deliverance. Unknown to me, my friends 'the CABALS' were watching me and noticing the changes in me and were unhappy with it. It was during the course of that argument that they told me how they felt Mhizutty especially (in physical anguish 😔). Just like an enchantment been broken from ones mind or like a ball suddenly emerging from water after been completely submerged, I started seeing myself in the true form that I had taken. To be honest, that was my most heartbroken day ever, the day i got healed from my madness! I could literally see the filthy rag of hypocrisy and lawlessness that I had clothed myself with. But all Thanks to God almighty to the lives of the cabals. They really helped me rediscover myself and broke free from the bondage of Self. I guess the minute disagreement turned to a fight for deliverance.
Conclusion
We will all go through or had gone through different phases but wether or not we let them mar us is totally dependent on how we handle it and who helps us through. @Aimure made a statement which I can never forget, he said *' you are not evil or wrong to be going through this phase but don't stay too long in it and don't let it become your personality' .* Also be consistent in what you are know to be. Don't change who you are regardless of what people are saying about you (but you should change if you evaluate yourself and find that you are not living right).

Strange things, even stranger things

Today was wonderful. I and my mom went to visit my pastor to thank him for coming to the burial reception. It was such a great honor to have that man as my spiritual father. He is so filled with wisdom, discernment and grace. While we were discussing he made asked a question. He said 'why is bad to want to become or live like another person?'. He answered by saying ' because when you do you lose the very originality version o yourself. You automatically become lost, you become a failure first to yourself then to others. Much more, you miss out of the plan and will of God for your life'.
There are lot of wise words that were impacted on me by the man of God but one which I find revealing was the strange dimension of God's grace.
***To start with, grace can be defined as unmerited favour.***
***A deeper understanding of the word in the Biblical concept is that Grace is God's power and authority in man to get an undeserved favour.***
There is a general grace that everybody in earth is entitled to. This grace is for you as long as you are human and dwell on this planet Earth. The grace includes access to sunshine, rainfall, food and other basic things. Even if you are a hardened sinner, God's general grace is for you 'for he makes his sun to shine on both the good and wicked'. But then there is another level of grace which is only accessible by some group of people.
An example of this is Making God work for you. Will it not be nice and chilling if God that created the whole of planet earth works for you? I mean, it would mean you have God as your servant! It's true, but that is only if you abide in him and you can only abide in him if you do his will!

As I have said you only abide in God when you do the will of God not what you think is right but the **will of God!** When God say for example you are to be cleaning the floor, do it with all diligence and sincerity, don't go after another person's job or way of life just because you think that one is more colourful than yours.
I am not here to give a sermon so I'd stop there for now. But I really think one of the most important and yet strangest things God has ever given to man is Grace.

I also read another article by @Mhizutty where she wrote on the recent happenings in Nigeria about some girls sleeping with dogs and eating human faeces all for money. I personally find that quite disturbing and disgusting. So one would voluntarily go and offer herself to be slept with by dogs or go and eat human faeces for money? Who even pays for this nonsense? 😠 We are still faced with the issue of theft, next Ritual killings, now bestiality and poop eating, what's next? Having intercourse with plants? I'm just so unhappy about all this, but then it is expected that it happens if not Jesus will not come. My race, my time

My day really went well. I took one of my neighbor's son to the Cafe for him to learn how to use the computer as he is preparing for his JAMB exams which is to will start next week. We got the cafe quite far behind our schedule because of the heavy traffic caused by the digging of the road by supposed road workers. They just dug it and left it like that and the funny thing was that the did it in the morning when they knew that people would be hurrying to get to work and every other important places. They could have done it later in the day or better still create an route for people to pass while they do their work. It's not even like they were ready to work o.
Leaving that topic, I was scrolling through some articles on my channel, and I came across one from @Mhizutty titled: My life, My rules! It was really nice to see that despite the race and urge to compete with others in getting riches and other supposed success, some of us still keep sane and still go with 'My time is coming'
Maybe if everyone would accept the fact that the race is not general and you don't need to run with others time, it would really go a long way in reducing crimes in society. It's your life, your race, your rules and your time. You are in competition with no one, you don need to impress anybody, you don't need to prove anything to anyone and you definitely don't need to kill or stress yourself because of any other person.
This doesn't mean you should become idle or lazy or nonchalant to work. What I am saying is think,plan and work towards achieving your goals the right way the right time.
Another scam loading
Three days ago, a betting site that increases your money to millions got crash and many people including myself was really mad and disappointed (even though I joined because a friend told me it was only an investment platform). Today another one was introduced with the promise it can pay out $50 upward only if you upgrade to the VIP1 by paying $40. The speed with which I threw the post out of my mind was fantastic. I'm sure it will definitely break the lightning speed record😂😂😂 Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me. And ain't gonna get shamed, nah!

Making of little demons

A news popped up some days ago about three teenagers of the age 15yrs who were involved in the beheading of their teenage girlfriend for ritual. I had to listen attentively and also ask the person next to me if the presenter said 15 or 50years. I was shocked when it was confirmed she said 15years old boys. To be honest I was really perturbed and saddened by the news. When asked why they did it, their reply was that they wanted money. What on Earth does a 15years old boy need huge amount of money for? Build house? But car? Or what exactly? People in the car started showing their displeasure and were blaming the parents of the children. I only looked at them and shakes my head. The very people condemning the children were actually one of the factors fuelling criminal acts in the society. One of them was a pastor who was obviously showing his displeasure through some Bible talks and quotations. I was going to ask the man if he was aware he is part of the problem, but one a second thought, I decided to hold my peace. It would be to my own disadvantage if I try reasoning with them cos he and others would end up battering me with either insults or curses.
The major reason why one should give is life to Jesus is eternal life according to 1john 3. Hence, the measure of how buoyant your Christian Life is should be how strong your relationship with God is and wether or not you're still inline with his word. But in Nigeria today, the first proof of a true Christian must be amount material possession. If you are a Christian and you are broke or not having material possessions, people would easily conclude that you are either serving God in the wrong way or that you are a sinner. Out of 100% of the sermons dished out from the pulpit, 85-90% of them are center on wealth gaining and becoming successful in life. Hence, if brother A is doing well financially and bro B is not, it means bro A is more devoted and upright than bro B. Then if bro B sees a means of 'getting rich quick', do you think he won't take the opportunity? At least no one would ask him how he got it, and if they do, the simple answer would be 'it is the Lord's doing'. Infact some pastors have even legalized internet frauds so far you pay your tithe and keep everyone happy. Then when an evil act is perpetrated, they blame it on the devil. When you make money and wealth gain the focus, expect the unthinkable.
In our day to day activities, we must be careful of what we esteem as the most important. We must be careful about what we relate to out younger ones. These boys said they got the ideas from a Facebook post. The post was about a Yahoo guy that was saying he is rich because he is smart and that money ritual is easiest way to make money. This post corrupted the mind of these children and they went ahead to lure their girlfriend to an hotel, killed her and cut off her head. I thought children were supposed to be soft and compassionate and innocent, but the horror and danger this poses is more than we see it. If these boys have done this, only God knows how many other boys have and are trending that part. At least we only got to hear of this one because they were caught.
Conclusion
Children should be made jealously and conciously guided in the way of Truth. We also should rise and reject the spirit of Mammon and he urge to get wealth by any means necessary. There is a saying that he heart of a child is like a fertile ground, what ever you plant on it will grow and produce multiples of the same. They should be fed with creativity, education, leadership training and other important societal values not approving them of doing wrong or indulging them in evil activities such as stealing, money rituals, gangster, child prostitution and every other vices.

Ate Grandma
A warm greetings to you fams. So sorry I haven't been able to comment on you articles and post. If you remember in my previous posts, I made mention of my grandmother's final burial ceremony which took place today. We have been tirelessly preparing for the ceremony and made sure to put everything in place so as to have an unforgettable and successful event. I have been helping my mom put Everything to place since about 4 days ago. We would been up and doing very early in the morning and retire to bed very late at only to wake up early the next day. It was really tiring, time consuming, energy draining and account draining.
We did the final burial ceremony and reception last week Friday and I really want to thank God almighty for the success of the event. Last week Friday was really a tiring day for me because of the various activities I was engaged in. I had woken up very early in the morning around 5:30am and I started doing some house chores like washing the dishes, sweeping the surroundings and general maintenance of the house. This is to ensure that when we come we will not be bothered about house cleaning because we would have been very tired.
There's these expression in yoruba language used when ones old parents or an older relatives dies. The expression goes does " oti pa iya yii je" meaning 'yiu have eaten this old woman' 😂. This were the words my friends said to me and my mom so we all laughed and shared some pleasantries.
Back to my journey on Friday by 7am, I was already done with the house chores, had taken my bath, and had dressed up. I had to wait for some of my neighbors to be ready so we can go together because I was the one to take them to the venue. We all left my neighborhood by 7:30am and chattered a cab to take us to my home town to meet my mom. We stopped on the road to pick up some of my friends. On getting to my home town we went straight to where my mom was preparing the food and drinks to be shared for those that would come to the event. I started helping my mom to run some errands and carry some items from her base to the event site, it was really tiring and my mom was not in the right state of mind because she was already high on "the party" 😂 she couldn't not even stay in one place for a moment and was constantly shouting at a person or another to carry this and bring that. I too got my own share of the shout and insults from her. I didn't even get angry cos I understand that she's just trying to make the party a successful one. I and my friends went to the reception venue and started arranging the chairs and tables under the trampoline shade. We also offloaded the drinks into a drum, filled it with ice and water to ensure it coldness through the party. We did all other preparations and made sure it was perfect before anybody arrived at the venue. Just as I finished working, two of my school friends called me to direct them to the venue. I was so happy to see them.
Every other invited guests from my mum's side and from her sisters and brothers side started arriving at the party. It was a blast. When we were called by the MC to the dance floor, people sprayed us with a lot of money. My mom told me she collected almost $140!
But I was angered by the behaviors of some of our guests. They were people from our neighborhood and I was displeased by their gluttonous attitude to the uttermost. They have already collected drinks and foods and I can see it right in front of them, but they kept on yelling at me that they haven't been given anything! I was shocked. Like I am not blind dude, I can see the drink and food in front of you! At first I was giving them attention so I can maintain the relationship between us and so I won't offend anybody mostly because we are neighbors. But when I saw that they were not going to stop demanding for what was not right, I just ignore them and paid no attention to them anymore. Some People can be really annoying.
All in all the event well, and it kind of bring our family together again. I got to see and greet my uncles and aunts that I haven't seen in a while. We talked, laughed and danced together. It was really nice seeing those faces again. I was also able to see my cousins again. Those boys have turned men. One of them had even grown taller than me 🤭
On getting home, all my body was aching me. I had overworked myself, it's not that I really have a choice, no one would do it. My church is the best
Happy Easter Monday dear readizens. I guess you guys went to church or at least hold a prayer section in your homes to pray today. I went to church today to celebrate Easter Monday in the presence of the Lord as today marks the day the Lord Jesus Christ today his disciple to meet him in Galilee after which he ascended into heaven. When it was time for sermon, the pastor told one of the elders to give the sermon and I must say I was alterly displeased at the sermon. I immediately wished I had stayed at home or better still go out to have fun like most people will today than sit under that preacher to hear his sermon. For close to one hour, he kept on saying something I have come to dislike. He kept castigating and crucifying those who go to other churches or who left the church for other churches simply because they didn't get what they were looking for. Though I for one, have never been an advocate of church adultery (that is going from church to church seeking the vision of prophets and the prayers of men of God simply because that person feels his prayers as not been answered or that a certain man of God is not powerful or strong enough.). The end result of church adultery is that such a person will definitely fall into the hands of fake men of God and fraudsters. They would be duped of the little they have, slept with, have even more problems compounded into the lives and in worst scenerio killed for money and power rituals. But this doesn't mean that there is no real church of God out there with the pastor been truth to his calling.
The preacher today made it seem like the only true church in the whole wide world is this particular church. He made it seem like for example if I attend his church I don't have the right to go to any other church! He made it seem like all other pastors that are not in that church or in it branches are mere men and doing the wrong thing. Who gave him that thought and teaching? I greatly wonder!
What/who is the church
This problem didn't just started today. Infact, it has been one of the very core problems the church as been struggling with since the very first generation of Christians. Paul for example, addressed he same issue in 1cor. 3
1 Corinthians 3:3-9
[3]For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
[4]For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
[5]Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
[6]I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
[7]So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
[8]Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
[9]For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
If you carfully read the verses above, you will notice that this problem did not actually started from the men of God themselves but from the supposed 'saints' who have termed or labelled their pastors as the best and had come to the conclusion that they are for Paul, Apollo or other men of God. Though in today's world, pastors are now the very set of people to say that their church is the best and I think this is because they don't really know the meaning of the word church and this I say to their shame.
So what is the church?
According to 1 Corinthians 12, the church is actually the body of Christ that is all the believers in the whole wide world!
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
[12]For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
[13]For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (Please read 1 Corinthians downwards to grasp the full gist)
So then it means The Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG) can not be a church on it own. Infact the combination of the physical churches in the whole wide world is the church of Christ which is the body of Christ. So therefore, it will be a total error to assume that one's church will singly go into heaven with the other churches left behind. It will definitely be a blunter to think that the errors of other churches in inconsequential to one's church. But in the actual fact, it is!
In my country Nigeria, once you say you are a pastor, the police and other security personnels especially in airports will hold you tight and scrutinize the light of Jesus of our of you. This is because evil doers now hide under the covering of 'I AM A PASTOR' to carry out their evil agenda.
Conclusion
The idea or thought that a church is supreme or better than other churches, or the castigation of other churches and telling people that it is wrong to go to other churches should be stopped. Take for example, if I follow a friend for a service in his church pure out of love of brotherhood, not from seeking vain help or power (which I strongly condemn), have I committed a sin? Someone had done this before and her church members came to ask her the reason for absence in the church that Sunday, she had to lie because if she tells them the truth, she would have successfully tagged herself as an infidel and an unbeliever. So, you'd rather make a child of hell than make friendship with other churches? Hypocrites and bunch of Pharisees! I pray the Lord open the eyes of the church early enough to see the damage they are doing to the body of Christ because honestly speaking, ***THERE IS NO UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST***

Dangerous mindset
Happy Easter readizens. This is indeed a great time to reflect on the great prize christ paid for the reconciliation of man back to God and also to utilize this great opportunity to return to God if we have backslided. Even as great as the sacrifice of Jesus is, it will make no meaningful impactation in one's life if one fails to change one's mindsets and deliberately choose to accept the lordship of Christ and his principles.
An example from the Bible
Yesterday, while we were in church for the good Friday service, the pastor when preaching made a striking point about mindsets when he pointed to an example from the Bible. Judas was a relative a Jesus. He was what we can call Jesus's cousin and when Jesus would begin his ministry, he made sure to call him not necessarily because Judas was relative to him but because he had made himself available and useful in the ministry of Christ. You know it's not really an easy task to leave all things behind, become a public enemy and most importantly not getting paid. I don't know if Judas had had the mindset of betraying Christ from the moment he surrendered all to follow him, but what I do know is that in that surrendering there as an iota of truth in it!
But true to an old saying **'if you don't deal with your weakness now it will deal with you later',** and that was exactly what happened to Judas Iscariot. I mean, we all have our weaknesses and shortcomings but if we fail to change our mindsets and rather succumb to the pressing needs of evil passions we are bound to encounter defeat, pain and regret. That was exactly what happened to Judas.
It's bad enough to have wanted to betray the Lord whom you had plegde allegiance to, but then the same Lord whom Judas knew to be omniscient, said it directly to you him that 'you said it!' when Judas asked if he was the one that was going to betray him and yet he still went out anyways to carry his mission. Let me share the story
Luke 22:1-6
[1]Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
[2]And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
[**3]Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.**
[4]And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
[5]And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
[6]And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
From the above scripture, it can be clearly seen that Judas was not acting of his own accord in trying to betray the Lord. As I have said Judas couldn't have gone ahead to betray the Lord again after he had told him face to face that he(Jesus) knew of his(Judas) mission. But there was already a devil or demon influencing his mindset. This beings a question to mind;
*Who is responsible for betraying the Christ? Judas or Satan?*
If you'd ask me I'd say Judas! My reason is found in the quote I shared earlier that if you don't deal with your weakness now, it is bound it deal with you later. As cunning as satan is, he won't come to you unless you have his goods. For example, satan won't tempt a person who isn't hungry with food. We are all been tempted by the very desires of our hearts
James 1:14
[14]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Judas, been the treasurer of Jesus's ministry, had been stealing from the purse. Then came the Pharisees with their proposal telling him to betray Jesus for a huge amount of money. He saw that as a way to achieve financial freedom and would not even change his mindset of 'easy money' even when Jesus directly confronted him twice. First at the supper and next at the very spot where he was going to betray the innocent man.
Conclusion
Many of us laugh and castigate Judas Iscariot and openly label him a betrayer, an infidel and a glutton who sold the saviour of the world for peanut, but here were are going the very thing he did; betraying Jesus with our actions and mindsets. We also fail to deal with our weakness and rather hide under 'the grace that abounds in sin' forgetting that God can not be mocked. Hence, this is a Clarion call for us to change our mindset and deal with our weaknesses before they deal with us.

Hallo friends. It's getting more and more difficult for me to write on this platform and this is solely due to my grandmother's burial. I have mentioned it in quite a number of my recent posts. The preparation to make it a successful and fulfilling one is quite time and energy consuming. Most of my friends are at home using this period of ASUU strike to either work to earn more money or invest their time in productive activities. I, on the other hand here, am here trying to see in what way I can help my mom make her mother's burial a huge success. I guess that isn't so bad right?
Amma Darko
Amma Darko is an African prolific writer. She has written a couple of very interesting and outstanding novels, the likes of Beyond the horizon, The housemaid and Faceless (which I, personally really enjoyed and am recommending it). Amma is one with very mesmerizing style of writing, the way with which she toys around with words and woven the treads of events into each other is, to say the least very intriguing. Though with her style of compositions and character display, it seems to me that she's more of a feminine activist than a general preacher. She has this pattern of digging up histories and interwoven it with her own imaginary event to create a learning and entertaining material which is not so common in most novels.
Amma's Faceless
The novel, though constructed to reveal the Lost of moral authority of parents over their children through their carelessness, lackadaisical and misplaced priority and also the glaring failure of the government in providing the necessary environment for the proper growth of a child (both mentally and physically), is based on the life, struggle and dream of a street girl, Fofo, who lost her sister Baby T, a young teenager who was forced to work as a child prostitute in a brothel under the supervision of Mami Broni because her mother didn't want her to stay in the same house with her so she can enjoy and keep her new so-called husband who has had a carnal knowledge of the girl. The story setting is Ghana.
The story tells the life of two totally different individual, Fofo the fourteen years old street Hustler and the ever amazing disturbed mother, enduring wife, hardworking MUTE activist and an old model VM Beatle, which she named 'Creamy, owner. The writer has proven to be a cunny script writer, bringing the paths of these two different world across each other.
Faceless is a real-life/comedy/education/awareness novel. I love the various use of words, onomatopoeia, and mostly pun and of course alliteration. The gradual introduction of the characters and scenes is a wonderful art of a curator. All in all, I really enjoyed reading the novel. Though I had read it sometimes past, around 2018 or so, I still wanted to read it again. I got the novel yesterday and I am almost done reading it.
So, dear friends, I would like to recommend it for those of us that is looking for an interesting and educative novel to read and also for those looking for something to kill time with.

*It cuts across genders, but it seems to be more prevalent with young males. Maybe it has to do with the Faceless formless masculine thing, whatever that 'thing' is. What appears to be the case, though, is that it is more difficult to break the 'streetness' in boys from the streets than in girls. Salut dear readizens. It's nice to write here again, I guess I have gotten my strange addiction for read.cash back again. Strange I say because I am not really a typing person, which is why I don't really chat on social media platforms. But now I guess read.cash is making a change person😂

Pizza🍕 or pasta
Though I have not taken a pizza before, not really because I have not gotten the opportunity to eat it before (as my friends and some family members have bought it for me before, but I wasn't just interested in it), I would really love to eat it now. As for pasta, though I have eaten that one before, I didn't take a liking into it.
So, I'd definitely go for Pizza, again, I'm choosing it because I haven't taken it before.
Ice cream🍦 or cake🍰
Ice cream is really nice especially the flavoured ones, but I will choose cake over it over and over again. My mom bakes cakes before when she still does catering as a side job. She would bake for us separately. I would make sure to take the largest chunk which results to I and sister quarreling most times. I guess I really loved eating the cake then because it was baked with love❤️ Presently, though my mom doesn't bake anymore, I still buy and eat cakes from stores

Waffles or pancakes
I prefer waffles with chilling milk🥛pancakes are nice, but I will go with waffles .
Rice 🍚 or Noodles🍝
I am a birdie when it comes to choice of food. What I mean is, I prefer eating grain and cereals. So I am going with rice. My best form being jollof rice (purely Nigerian😁)

Spicy 🌶️ or sweet🍬
There is a general believe about the Yorubas being people who love very spicy and pepperish food. This might be true in the olden days, but I can't say it's still true for the present generation. I, for one don't like much pepper in my food and I know most of my friends that don't like it as well. As for sweet, I not a big fan of that either. I prefer to stay in between a little bit bitter and a little bit sweet. It's bad to take sweet too much, also taking only bitters is not so good for your health.

How to check for tokens not reflecting in your wallet

My tokens are not reflecting
As regards to a token you have purchased or you did the airdrop and maybe your friends are sharing their testimonies of receiving the token but when you checked your wallet, you couldn't see anything. The simple thing to do is to first scan your wallet. Many people have been left in awe after scanning their wallet because the amount of tokens they found in it was more than what they thought they have. Below are some steps to scan your wallet
Open your trust wallet, metamask or other common crypto wallet
Login to your wallet.
Copy the address of the blockchain you want to scan
To do this, you have to click on the blockchain you want to scan. For example: if I want to know the amount of tokens I have on the Binance SmartChain network (also called Bep-20 or BNB), I will have to open the token and copy the wallet address. Note that their example is for wallets that supports BNB network. For metamask that only supports Ethereum based tokens, you will have only one address for all the sub-chains in the wallet. What I meant is, once you copy your address you can use it to scan for all the networks on metamask (some of which includes; Avalanche, CELO, MATIC or polygon, Fantom network, BCH, etc)
scanning on Trust wallet
After you have copied your BSC address, go to DAPP and type bscscan.com in the search box and press search.
In the search box as shown above, paste your BSC address into the box and press search. This will bring out all the tokens you have on that address. To add a token to your wallet, simply click the desired token icon shown on the list of the tokens you have. This is take you to the tokens info. From there you can copy the contract address (C.A) of the token. Exist the DAPP and go add to your wallet using the following steps;
Click on the dashboard at the top right-hand side of your trust wallet
Click on add custom token (found at the base.
Change the network to BSC (if you don't, it won't load it)
Then paste the address of the token into the box shown, add the ID if it doesn't load automatically
Then press done. Wallah! Your token is added to your wallet.
Same process applied to adding Ethereum based tokens with the exception that Ethereum address is copied and etherscan.com is typed into the search box on the DAPP
Scanning on metamask
Scanning on metamask is a bit tricky for newbies as you must first change to the network you want to scan. E.g; if you want to check the amount of tokens you have on Fantom network, you must first change to Fantom network on metamask

Preparation for my grandmother's burial
*Salut dear readizens*. It has been long since I have been active on this great platform. This is largely due to the preparation for my grandmother's burial. She died last year December some few days after Christmas. Though she had lived a long and fulfilled life (she died at the age of 106years), but I still felt a little bit sad because, I will really miss her especially her appraisal. Whenever we go to my hometown to spend the Christmas and boxing day there, she would start singing my appraisal. Oh how chilling and wonderful it always feels. My head would swell up and if I had been feeling sick, the sickness would just vanish🤣 or if I was angry before, I would just start smiling and the cause of the anger would be as though it never existed. Moreover, she is this kind of person that really loves her grand children. If you really want her trouble, try insulting or beating one of her grand children, then will you know she's a lioness in human form😂
Memories
There was a time when I was little, most of my extended family members had come to stay in our family house in preparation for our annual family gatherings. The children are to sleep in my grandmother's room. Her room is the biggest in the whole house aside from the common room where we all gather and hold family meetings. The next morning, all the kids had woken up except from one of my cousin, she was nowhere to be found! My grandmum was restlessness, she was literally shouting, jumping and panicking. She was running to and fro, shouting the name of my cousin. After about an hour, one of my aunt that has gone to take something under the bed of my grandmum, ran out and said she has found the meeting child. Lo and behold, my cousin had rowed under the bed! 😂🤣🤣 When she came out, she was covered with yam flour, my grandmum had kept to prepare for us. We couldn't hide out laughter. It was so hysteric. But not my grandmom, she quickly ran to the girl and was checking all over her body looking for any cut or injury and at the same time repeatedly asking if the girl was okay.
That was the kind of person she was. She would rather go starving than see her children or grandchildren not eating. What I cherish the most is the fact that she hated her children or any other members of the family fighting with eat other. She would make sure that any fight be resolved with immediately effect. She not the kind of pacifist that would say 'you are all right'. No, rather she will point out the wrong of each person to him/her and would tell them to apologise to each other after she had ironed out the dispute.
But now that she's gone, I will really miss her. All my family members would really miss her. She was a real gem. She is also the oldest in the community. Her children said she should be around 115 to 120, the family said they would go with 106 as no one really know her real age. Birth certificate no dey during those days, so man gat improvise😂
Burial ceremony
She would be laid to rest on the 22nd of this month. Her 7days rite as been done, immediately she died in accordance with the traditions of the land. But they had to postpone her burial four good months.
There was a scene from A MADEA FAMILY BURIAL were Uncle Joe was saying something about the difference in a white man's burial and that of a black man's. One problem of the black man is his love for parties and can spend even his future funds to throw a party today. I wish my grandmom had been buried on time instead of been embalmed. In Africa, Nigeria specifically, try throwing a party and you would receive support and funds that would be enough to set up and sustian a mega business for years. But tell them you need help with a project or idea, you will receive little to nill help from both friends and family. I think the only thing they will happily and joyfully give you is Prayer. Although I don't underestimate the works of prayers, yet the Bible also says that 'faith without works is dead!'.
Anyways, I am not here to talk about the black man's dilemma. My grandmother's burial is coming up this month and I'm really looking forward to it. I pray God's grace and approval be upon the chosen day in Jesus name, Amen.

An unexpected visit to the hospital
Hello dear readizens, there is this prayer in Yoruba that goes thus 'oun ta o, olorun make ko ba eyi ti a n ro je' translation; 'may what we didn't plan for not destroy what we plan for'. I was at home today all alone as all the other members of my family had gone to their respective place of work or education. I was feeling this sense of unquantifiable joy sweeping all over my being, so I started singing some praise songs. As I was singing, I was also doing some washing and clearing. I had just finished clearing the gutter in front of my house and gone inside to have my bath and eat when my friend called me. She had feeling sick for sometimes now and had been taking her medication quite well. She sound more alive and healthy than the previous times, although she complained that the sickness would leave and come back to again after some time. We were having a good conversation when sometime about a TEFund popped on my screen. I decided to give it a trial. I thought my friend to excuse me informing her of what I wanted to do. I started the registration and at some point the thing got very serious and I was been give 20 mathematics test, all word problems, to solve with in 20 minutes. I tried my best and was able to answer all before the time was up. As I was about finishing the registration process, my phone rang and it was my mum. I picked the call and the next thing I heard was 'Your sister has fainted and has been rushed to the hospital. Come and meet me there!'.
I was shocked, because I had spoken with her some hours ago, and she sounded really fine and there was no sign of illness or weakness in her voice. I quickly dropped my phone, wore my clothes and rushed to a neighbor's house to beg him to carry me to the hospital. On getting there, I was my sister laid on the stretcher. Drips were been administered to her. She took 4 drips while on the bed. She was also injected to speed her recovery. All I could do was to start praying. You know the human mind is really tricky, the incident that claimed my father's life replayed before me, and I was so scared of losing my sister. After about 2 hours of been there, my sister slowly regained consciousness. She was able to make some gestures and finally was able to stand up and go to the toilet. After the whole episode, I am indeed grateful to almighty God for sparing the life of my sister. We are just two that my mum gave birth to, and I don't want to lose any member of my family again.
Conclusion
God be praised for granting my sister speedy recovery. She can now walk, talk and eat all by herself. So many people have died with incidents not up to this. I am really happy that God took charge. All praise to his name 🙌🙌🙌

A man of God that I have great respect for said sometimes sometimes ago that 'if you fail to change your environment that environment will change and choke you'. Relating this to what's currently happening in Nigeria, we would all agree that it is true. The decadence in every strata of the country is more than enough prove for this. And this is because the leaders have failed to change our country's status hence the crimes and corruption we see.
Nigeria which used to be the giant of Africa, the country flowing with milk and honey is now looking for a breathing space at least to survive. Let me talk a bit on the past achievement of this great nation
On the 1st of October 1960, Nigeria gained its independence from Great Britain and had its first indigenous constitution which is considered Nigeria’s greatest achievement.
In August 1963, Nigeria hosted the first-ever boxing world title event on the continent outside of then-apartheid South Africa.

All in all, Nigeria has had it glorious days. But today in this present day, the country can boast of little or no improvement or development. I can tell you with all sincerity that Nigerians are talented and compassionate; atleast facts from all around the world can bear witness, in the sense that Nigerians are very successful in these parts of the world. But our leaders and corruption as killed the ability for the country to develop and as rendered each and every citizen gasping for air in what was supposed to be a well ventilated atmosphere.

The only regret I have ever had
*Even as I write this article, I still feel the guilt beating right on the inside of me. Though it wasn't my fault that he died neither is the guilt coming from his demise, it is coming all from the fact that I still held a grudge against him!*
Most times in life, this don't go the way we want it to. Instead, it would rather give us the worst than leave us empty. I am very cautious when it comes to talking about myself and family, but as I read through some articles tonight, I found one reminiscing about the good day the writer had spent with his younger brother before he died of an illness. One could literally feel the writer's pain as he pours his heart and agony into writing. As I read through the paragraphs of this sad-filled letter, Gbam! It hits me so hard. The very thing I thought had been forever sealed away from my memory. But here it is, the only guilt that I ever had.
While I was Growing up, things weren't easy, not for me but for my mom. She had to work very hard to provide for her children's physical needs and still had to be the perfect mother to train and provide her kids with the necessary value. One would think she is a single mother but far from it, she does have a husband who is well alive, Hale and hearty. But so many things have happened between, which I won't divulge into, which has rendered the supposed man of the house useless in every area. My dad used to be a responsible young man during his prime until two factors influenced and destroyed him. These two factors are; friends and women. There was this friend of his at that time (a man I really dislike, I don't want to say hate because that is a strong word, since I was 10). This man was the backbone of my dad's downfall from being a responsible person. He introduced him to drinking, lavish lifestyle, to maltreating his wife and children and eventually to womaniser of which my dad became better and famous than his teacher. As the devil will have his way, the first woman my dad would commit adultery with was a die hard lover and vowed to either have my dad or destroy his wife and children.
Well, so many things happened along the line, arrows were shot, sicknesses were inflicted, prayers were made, healing was secured, battles were won and my dad came back home. Till this present moment, I don't actually see the reason for the victory, seemed more like devil's handshake to me. Anyways, God be praised, we got our dad back! Then my mom built her house, we moved in and all was going well, or so I thought. Now, my dad could have built two or more mansions that beats our present home four times but he couldn't as all the money was been spent on drinks, enjoyment, women and friends. The more reason why I dislike that friend of my dad's is that, he is really a wise, cunning man. He told my dad to ensure that he maltreats his wife but he Pampers his own. He ensures the man doesn't own a bicycle Spock but he has three to four cars and buses and built several houses. Well, is he to be blamed? Do we not all have choices?
Police station, jail, death
You know when God loves you so much he finds a way to bring you back to himself. There was this incident that should have made my dad become a die hard Christian if not a pastor. He was having an affair with a certain woman at one time and this woman would keep him away from home for several days. One day, after having fun on the football field (if you know what I mean), they had logged out of the hotel room and had entered the car together and drove out of the hotel's compound. A little distance from the hotel street, the woman started behaving funny in the car. A few moments later, she started gasping for breath and was bringing out foam from her mouth. Before you could say 'Jesus is Lord', she had given up the ghost. You can imagine the shock, fear and dread in my dad's face. He tried what he could to bring her back to life but all to no avail. He then thought it wise to dump the woman's body but the roadside and flee for his life. That week at home was almost heaven on Earth for us as he become caring, a listening father and a supporting husband. We all thought the wind was over, unknown to us that a tornado was coming.
As early as 5 o'clock in the morning of this fateful day, my dad had dressed up and left the house. He only told his wife he was going for a job. Two days later, he was still nowhere to be found. Then on the third day or so, I had just returned from school and was just about going to my neighbors room to play when I saw his friend and two policemen coming towards me. Immediately the Friend saw me he shouted 'that's his son, that's his son'. I froze at first. I have never committed a crimes before, I guess my mum had done a good job in instilling in me the good social values needed to be a good child. But I had watched in movies the outcome of such shout. Nevertheless, I stood fixed to where I was, thinking of which move would give me quick deliverance. Was I going to employ Jackie Chan's move, Jet Li's or Naruto's power. The policemen walked up to me and asked in a firm voice 'where is your father'. I, with a shaking voice said he is not at home. They eventually left and after so many days of search, they apprehended him where he was hiding on my house site then. The case was tried and the family of the deceased woman wanted him to be sentenced to death or life imprisonment claiming he used her for rituals. Oh the efforts my mom put into the case to save her children's father. She spent a lot, knelt a lot, cried a lot and almost sold her properties. But as God would have it, someone in the police station said the case can't really go to court until they have provided the autopsy of the dead. The family gladly obliged and carried out the test. To their dismay, it was reported that she died of asthma and breathing complications. That was how God delivered my dad from imprisonment or death. One would have expected that my dad had learnt the lesson of his life and would turn a new leaf. He did for some weeks but then the dog returned back to his vomits as the Bible says it.
Jesus came, new life and death
Long story short, Jesus came into my family, turned everything for the best, turned my dad into a totally different man and gave him a new life and new personality. But all the years of drinking and wasting energy, strength and vitality on other women caught up with him. He first started complaining of pains in his arm, sleepless and headaches that lasted for 2 weeks. I wish I was a medical student, maybe I could have suspected it to be the sights of high blood pressure and treat him on time. But the symptoms subsided after 3 weeks that is after he rested for 1 full week without going to work. Then came this day they went for rally in his place of work. Meanwhile, he was having a misunderstanding with my mom and I was not happy with it. Of a truth, the was innocent of the fight but I guess we never totally saw him as changed person. So, there was grudges, not on his side cos his mind was free but on our side.
He had left home early that fateful and gone for the rally. He came back very late at night around 10 pm. This was the first time he would be coming home so late like that after so many months. We were all outside. I served him is food which he ate gladly and was even joking with me, but the grudge in my heart won't let me smile. We all later went inside to sleep. Around 12am, I started hearing some funny snoring coming from my parents room. I was angry and I knew exactly who used to snore in our house. I went to the room to tell him to adjust, but lo and behold, I found my dad twisted on the floor with veins popping hard on his neck regions. I shouted and alerted everyone. We tried waking him up but no success. My mom ran to the neighbors to get help. Before they could arrive, my dad had give up the ghost in my hands. I was so shocked and sad at the same time. Till the very last moment I saw in the morgue, all I was saying was 'dad please stand up, I need to talk to you'. At the burial site, I had to shout ' I am no longer angry please get up' as they lower his casket into the grave.
Even as I write now, I wish it was a dream so I can tell him I am sorry for holding grudges against him. Though he lived a rough life at the beginning but this I say of him that he lived a godly and wonderful life at the end.
Conclusion
***Life is too short to hold grudges or keep malice with another person. Resolve all issues, if possible, immediately and find peace in yourself, who knows what's going to happen within the next few hours.***

Superstitions in Yoruba land
While going through some articles today, I came across one written by @King_son which he titled 'religion in africa'. I Thought to write on some superstitions in yourba land (a tribe in Nigeria).
First of, let me define it for educational purpose:
*A superstition is any belief or practice considered by non-practitioners to be irrational or supernatural, attributed to fate or magic, perceived supernatural influence, or fear of that which is unknown.*

There are so many superstitions in Yoruba land. I will mention a few.
**Leaving marks on the ground**
While I was growing up, I and the other kids would play a game called 'luske'. It involved drawing lines on the ground and cutting it to rectangulars. There was this day, after playing we were about leaving while an adult called us and asked us to erase what we have drawn. We asked why and she replied saying if housefly should perch it, the mother of the that draws it will die. I quickly clean it up. As I grow up I come to know that it was all a means used by adults to make children clean the lines they have marked on the ground.
Another one is, if you draw a line on the floor and refuse to clean it, it will turn to a snake 🐍 which come to bite you at night. I, being curious, marked and made sure to stay up all night to see that snake. Well, you guessed right, it never did!
**Hot knife and scorpion**
This is another one. If you put hot knife 🔪 in the fire 🔥 then brace yourself for the visitation of scorpions. Being inquisitive as I am, I placed a knife in the fire to mend a damaged plastic. Later that night, a scorpion was actually killed in my house. I was shocked. But science as taught to repeat experiment to ascertain a point. So I repeat the experiment 3times in total (the first included). 2 out of the 3 proves positive, so I'd say it maybe true. You can try it but at your own risk.
**Sitting on overturn mortal after meal**
It is a common one in Yoruba land that if you sit on an overturned mortal (facing upside down) after meal, you will vomit it all. Another one is standing on an overturned mortal, the person will become a witch or wizard as the case maybe. I have only tested the second one and I have not acquired any strange power nor join any occult.😂
**Crossing over a pregnant woman's leg**
This is also very common in Yoruba land. It is believed that if someone crossing over a pregnant woman's leg, the child she is going to deliver will resemble that person. Hence, they will warn you not to cross their legs. This has evolved and spread to even an ordinary person that is not pregnant (either male or female). I remember a time my pregnant aunt was lying on the floor and I was pressed. I stood up to use the convenience and I had no option than to cross her legs. As I was about to, she screamed and shouted at me. I was so shocked. You know superstition can really be a pain in the ass🤣
**Carrying a bunch of plantain into a certain town.**
In my hometown, there is this taboo that no one must bring in a bunch of plantain that is not yet cut into the town. The repercussion is that there will be trouble in the whole town. This is of course is not applicable to those harvested in the town. Actually, I won't call this a myth or superstition because tradition is tradition and I have seen some bad consequences happening to some people that went against it.
**Killing a duck**
Once a time, there was this one that say no one should kill a duck and if a person does, he shall lose his wealth and children. Though, presently people no longer observe this and moreover there are very few people who eats duck's meat. I think the reason the superstition was first invented was to deter people kill and eating duck's meat indiscriminately. They even go as far as stealing other people's ducks. Whatever the reason for it, it is no longer observed.
Collecting rain water with your palm
This is by far the funniest to me. My aunt used this on me and it really worked on me. There as this day my aunt came to visit us and rain was falling out. I went outside and was collecting rain drops in my palm. My aunt came out and shouted for me to stop asserting that anyone who does it will be struck with lightening. Oh you had to see the speed with which I remove my hands and ran inside! But in later years, curiosity kills the cat as they say made me test that law. My plan was to collect the rain water as much as I could and when the thunder strikes I'd quickly remove my hands and run inside. Funny right? But thank God it wasn't true if not I know I can't beat the lightening in speed.
Though there are so many other superstitions in yourba land, I will take just one more as I won't be able to them all.
**The man in darkness**
There is this one the adult always use to make their children become calm and stay at home. Whenever a child is proven stubborn and doesn't want to follow his parent or is going outside without the parent's permission, the mother will simply say 'ojuju a gbe ee lo' meaning the demon (pictured as a man in darkness) will carry you and take you away for ever. On hearing this, the child will run to his mother with fear. I guess this works due to the fear of the night.
