Zcash: The halving ..

Zcash(ZEC) began it's operation in the year 2015.* It was aimed at supporting further development and it chose to use a mechanism called Founders Reward (FR) . Let's then take a quick look at some facts about zcash. **Amount of coins:** *There will be a total of 21 million coins issued just like bitcoins. But currently it is impossible to know how long it will take to mine all these due to future advances* **Proof of Work:** *Proof of Work algorithm for Zcash is Equihash.* ***Equihash*** *is a memory-hard Proof-of-work algorithm introduced by the* ***University of Luxembourg's Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust*** *in the year 2016. The algorithm is based on a generalization of the "BIRTGDAY PROBLEM" which finds colliding hash values .* **Block rewards:** The block rewards will issue a total of 50Zcash(ZEC) every 10 minutes. The block spacing is 2.5 minutes thereby each block produces 12.5 ZEC. REWARD HALVING: As our main topic let's dive in  *****REWARD HALVING***** Zcash halving as well as Bitcoin halving is an event where the number of Zcash rewards are divided or splitted into two . Here, the block reward is divided and miners are awarded with half the initial block reward . Let's look at it in this way, The ZEC mined by miners per block will reduce from 12.5 ZEC to  6.25ZEC in the next halving at 1046400. This occurs every 4 years just like bitcoins. **EXPECTED HALVING DATE.** Zcash  halving is a block interval specific, this means that the halving will occur once the block chain reached a certain block level. The interval has been delayed to block 1046400. Based on current estimates of 75 seconds per block, the halving should occur during November,2020 which is approximately 182 days . *****Effects of Zcash Halving***** **Volatility**: Traders should be expecting volatility during this period **Low rewards:** Miners should also be expecting to earn lower mining rewards Increase in demand and decrease in supply Possible increase in the value of Zcash Thank you .
