Bitcoin ban wave on YouTube: block trainer channel deleted - How you can help!
The Bitcoin and crypto ban wave on YouTube is entering the next round. The largest video and streaming platform started a series of deletions of various Bitcoin and crypto videos and channels a few days ago. Many well-known YouTubers got under the wheel - often for inexplicable reasons. Unfortunately, our friend and fellow campaigner was also hit - the block trainer (novel).
The block trainer YouTube channel has been deleted
A few months ago, YouTube started removing some videos from crypto-YouTubers. Back then it was comparatively harmless. Either individual videos were removed or warnings were given. But this time the situation is a lot more serious - entire channels of some YouTubers were completely deleted within seconds without warning.
Our friend hit the block coach very hard. He has been working intensively on his YouTube channel for several years in order to offer newbies and other interested parties a free crypto-education platform for training and exchanging ideas. Roman has always taken care to provide valuable information without advertising any dubious third-party providers. For Roman, the community and viewers are always the top priority.
The situation with the block trainer channel on YouTube escalated when a live stream entitled "LIVE: Win € 150 in Bitcoin at the Block Trainer East Special!" Was announced. This video was sent a warning before YouTube started. Thereupon the block trainer changed the title to "Easter special competition". YouTube didn't hesitate long here and not only deleted the announced video from the block trainer, but its entire channel with countless hours of free information material for Bitcoin, Blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin and blockchain education must remain censorship-free
It is reasonable to assume that the YouTube algorithm applies the keywords “Glückspiel; Profits ”has responded to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. This could be due to the wave of fake YouTube livestream videos with competitions. Well-known names and personalities are taken from the crypto space in order to pull investors the cryptocurrencies out of the wallets.
Nevertheless, the behavior of YouTube is completely exaggerated at this point. A further warning with a more detailed explanation would have been sufficient here. The block trainer has already reported to YouTube in various ways to get to the bottom of it. We all very much hope that one of the most important influencers in the German-speaking Crypto Space can pursue his hobby and work and continue to provide us with valuable content.
Especially in times of Corona, where many people are isolated at home and finally have time to find out about Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Education must never fall victim to censorship. We from the entire CryptoMonday team critically criticize YouTube's approach at this point. We have also been increasingly victim to attacks on our website, but our YouTube channel has not yet been affected.
You can do that!
At the moment we unfortunately have less scope as a community to help the block trainer. The only thing we can do is criticize this unjust behavior on YouTube and inform others about it.
You can like and comment on the current post on Twitter from the block trainer. This may help increase awareness of this case and make YouTube act faster.
Several German-speaking crypto-YouTubers have already published a statement calling for the channel to be restored by the block trainer. Our anchorman Mirco also commented on this in a YouTube video.
What could be the reason for this. Why would YouTube be deleting crypto videos and channels. It has no good explanation
