My cousin wrote a story not so long in which I helped him edit and added some conversations to it, although it's been long I wrote stories, I tried my best. I just can't help but share it here;
Jeffery lance sat on his office chair as he gazed at the rumbling clouds through the massive burglary proof window with a cigarette in his mouth, the room was dark, but not pitch black the led lamp at the corner of the room gave it a little lightning. the table was messy, with paper documents cigarette stumps scattered all around, cut newspapers and marked book pages and printed copies pinned on the glass walls. lance was a detective, a smart hard working middle aged detective, in all his years of service lance believed the world was like two sides of a coin, he believed in the world been black and white, good or bad, a criminal or an innocent, there's no other side to it, this has been his way since he joined the force in his early twenty's, it has been what drove him forward to accomplish his status and earn to his name many many awards, but all his beliefs, his vision and how he viewed the world are all about to change.
Halloween, Christmas and the new year celebrations just passed, but still lance cannot clear his mind off the horrors of the previous year. More and more cases of murder around the world, more and more people going missing, disembodied like beings have been sighted by thousands of people, more dismembered corpses turning up. As a man of great visions and beliefs, lance did not believe in fictions, or tales of ghosts and monsters, he didn't believe this still when cases like that were brought to his desk. But he had to, he needed to, more like he was forced to believe. His wife and daughter got attacked, his wife died, his daughter missing. He could remember the last words of his beloved wife Maria has she bled out on the hospital bed, he could remember the fear in her eyes, he could remember how eager she was to die like she saw the end of the world. ' it was a monster, it took her! It took her ! It had no face it was pale' those were her words as she took her last breath. Months have passed since then but lance still sits and reads the reports that he ignored, He read them like he was meant to do, to find his daughter dead or alive he has to read through the news papers, hospital reports about people's horrific sightings.
He remembers one of the strangest cases he was ever involved in. He was called to a local catholic church right from his home, he remembers walking into the church and a sudden chill took over his body, " it's a strange one lance", mark his partner said as he approached Jeffery, " some kind of monster, I've never seen anything like it, three people dead, two underaged girls and a Gardner". " I really should have taken a coffee, I'm starting to hear strange things.... Enough tales Mark, what do we have here", Jeffery said coming to a halt in front of a gurney with a body bag, mark proceeds to open the bag a little bit such that only the corpse face is revealed. " I'm dead serious, the FBI came in earlier took the beast, look at his face, he's the Gardner, the forensics believe he was the first victim, his body was found on the alter...we also believe he killed the beast". The gardner's face was barely recognisable with huge claw marks running from his for head down to his lips, his jaw seemed to be separated, probably crushed, one of his ears missing and then three large holes in his throat. " Believe me now", Mark said staring into a baffled Jeffery eyes. " You think those reports are true?, Because I believe it now". That was the last time he saw Mark, Mark would be later found dead in a pool of an abandoned hospital......
I really enjoyed the story did you?

It a good story you wrote for him.. Monsters are real and their presence shouldn't be taken lightly.
