23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised: (‭‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬‬:‭23‬ ‭RV1895‬‬) Today’s verse is one that should cause us to rejoice. I like reading the older version of the Bible because it’s more challenging, but I switch versions sometimes. Here’s a more modern version: “Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep his promise.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭23‬ ‭GNBDK‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/431/heb.10.23.GNBDK Regardless of which you read, today we have something to rejoice about. God keeps his promises. Sounds strange that we should rejoice in a good promise, but first of all, it’s a big and important promise! It’s a promise if His love for us and that will never change. Second, we live with people who have trouble keeping promises. I would go as fast to say we are fed lies in the disguise of promises by people. The first example that comes to mind is politics. They promise everything just to be liked and become popular. Some people don’t take promises literally. Look at all the broken relationships that were built on promises. As a teacher, my favorite example is promises to do homework, right? I wouldn’t say that most students purposely ignore the promise, I prefer to think they honestly forgot. Whatever your experience with promises, have confidence and believe that the Lord will not break his promise. You are loved! You are saved!

Freedom through Christ “Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/2co.3.17.RV1895 Today’s verse is about true freedom. Everyone has something in their life that restricts their freedom and becomes a kind of bondage. Some of us have more severe kinds of bondage. This can be physical, mental, and for some even spiritual. It can even be as trivial as tv programs and habits. Regardless of your bondage, know that there is freedom in Jesus Christ. Remember, only He has the right to judge us. Only he has the power to free us.

Christmas prediction “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/isa.9.6.RV1895 This says it all. Merry Christmas. I love the title that it gives Christ. Wonderful amazing. Counselor- He understands us like no one else can. Mighty God- the big guy. Everlasting Father- our father in heaven. And the Prince of Peace for freeing us from our sins. Really sums up our Lord, Jesus Christ. Thank you Isaiah. ;).

Christmas morning my son wanted Christmas pancakes. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any mix, so we went to McDs. Merry Christmas!

“And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.” ‭‭S. Matthew‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/mat.1.21.RV1895 Today’s verse is one to bring hope, joy, and happiness. Just imagine the surprise that Joseph must have gone through. First, to find out his Virgin wife had conceived a son. Most surprising is that son is the long awaited messiah and God incarnate. Today and every day we have the honor of being in His family, free from original sin, and have life every lasting. This Christmas, may your forgiveness and love increase 10 fold. As we are loved by our Heavenly Father, let’s make the coming year a loving one.

Beautiful day for Christmas Eve. We just finished our Christmas party. This is one of the presents we have the children. They all received Christmas legos.

@Cryptopsycho21

Good morning. Happy Christmas Eve. Today is our Christmas party. Here’s my student drawing part our large paper Christmas tree. Merry Christmas

@Cryptopsycho21

This is the Christmas tree that we did at the Christmas party. Each piece is A4 and a different students colors each one. So putting it together is quite difficult. We should have numbered them.

@Cryptopsycho21

Very busy day. First out of the Christmas parties. This one was for a special class. We made Christmas decorations, played bingo, and made a Christmas tree.

@Cryptopsycho21

Last year I found a Lego advent calendar for my youngest on a discount sale- it was after Christmas :). Anyway he opened one door today, it had a Thanos glove with infinity stones. I am impressed.

Show your love “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” ‭‭S. John‬ ‭13‬:‭35‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/jhn.13.35.RV1895 Today’s verse is packed with power because of its direct instruction from Christ. It enforces the commandment to love one another and love your enemies. In fact, it should be how we are identified with Christ. But why? Love and forgiveness is not natural in all circumstances. I remembered a history lesson about Pliny. He was a governor or regional head of state for the Roman emperor at the time of Christian persecution. When he started overseeing criminal hearings, he couldn’t understand the Christians. He would question them expecting to find a crime, at times he even tortured some. They must be hiding something. He found them to be kind, law abiding citizens that ate a meal together and talked about Christ- whom they believed a god that died under Roman execution. This was very strange for Romans at the time. There was no crime besides saying they were Christians. He would ask them, “are you Christian?” If they said yes, he would ask again. Then he would remind them of the punishment of death for Christians. If they recanted, he let them go. If they continued to say yes, they were executed. I think these early Christians really make our modern Christian society look bad. There are so many people who wear the title “Christian” but don’t really know what it means or how to live a life as a follower of Christ. What do you think?

Passed this beautiful temple in our morning walk with my wife. Finally sunny and clear, but quite cold for Taiwan.

Time to get the car by checked. At least Toyota has Christmas decorations up. It makes the waiting and paying a little less stressful.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid.” ‭‭S. Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/mat.5.14.RV1895 Today’s verse is one of truth. But all the words is Christ are. I love this verse because when it comes to parables and understanding, it is not too difficult and very illuminating. It’s all about light and we know that Jesus is the Light of the World. We have His light in us. We are his ambassadors or light spreaders. This light should never be hidden or covered up. It should be our pride and joy to have such an important role in His will. Unfortunately, we live in dark times. Society has watered down His name and false profits have tarnished his message. We, the true light bearers must shine even more and less through example. We need to be the light that guides the lost to His Kingdom as lights in a city on a hill guides people to safety. Be a brain beacon. Don’t let social pressure and the ways or the world drag you down. Light always conquers darkness. The Lord always conquers darkness.

I don’t know where the big egg came from, but I’d it’s from one of our chickens, it must have died laying it.

I got a notification that someone wanted to tip me with smartBCH. So I should set up a smartBCH wallet. Does anyone have any suggestions? I searched and found BCH wallets, but no smartBCH.

“and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭32‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/eph.4.32.RV1895 Today’s verse shows us part of the supernatural quality that Christ wants us to emulate. The natural world seldom sees forgiveness. Indeed, it’s a dog eat dog world. Why? They didn’t learn how to forgive. This is one reason the wild can be such a dangerous place. Its made for survivors. Even in the Old Testament functioned under an eye for an eye mentality. Of course, there were exceptions for accidental incidents, but it was a dark time. Then the light of the world came, Jesus Christ. He gave us commandments and rules not only for loving, but also forgiving. Loving is a basic human trait that we apply to those close to us. He encouraged us to take it further. Forgiveness, on the other hand, isn’t natural but supernatural. It’s a choice that can be quite hard to do. Surely, if the Lord can forgive me for all my transgressions, I can forgive others.

Time to play a learning game in English class. Roll a die and move alone the paper. Then ask and answer the question.

The Costco in Taiwan has Chinese new year “year of the rabbit” pet chew toys. So cool.
