December began with a sudden low pressure change. The temperature dropped by a lot. It’s kind of nice for a change.

“I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, And in his word do I hope.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭130‬:‭5‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/psa.130.5.RV1895 Today’s verse reminds us of how lucky we are to have a Lord that loves us. We might not get what we want or at the speed we want it, but we can rest assured that the Lord wants the best for us and only He knows what that is. It can be hard living in a society that praises instant gratification. The world is changing so much. When I was young, there was no internet, WiFi, microwave, satellite tv, nothing. Of course, the way things were were an improvement from my parents’ childhood. But then everything exploded. Technology make everything instantly possible. Sometimes I worry our society is getting spoiled on the idea that good thing comes fast. I worry that it is difficult for the young to have to wait. I pray the Lord teaches them to trust His word, even if it doesn’t work like a genie’s wish. It is better and it is true.

“But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:” ‭‭S. Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/mat.6.3.RV1895 Such a beautiful verse today. Giving can at times be difficult for us because it’s easy to make judgements about others and their conditions. It easy to feel that “I’m being tricked” or “he is conning us”. This hasn’t changed since humans began walking the earth. There are those that will lie and cheat for money. There are those who will pretend to be needy. Today’s verse tells us not to think of that. Today’s verse tells us to give without thinking about it. If we are truly followers of Christ, we know that it’s not about $$. We know that everything we have is a gift from the Lord. We know that we should not judge others or pretend to know the will of God. Give freely with your time and money to those that need it https://noise.app/Cryptopsycho21

Saw this amazing plant with a very interesting leaf formation. God gave us so many wonderful things.

I thought I’d share this flower that I passed with you. I’m lucky because the path to work has many beautiful flowers.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 Today's verse is about confidence and assurance that the Lord is on our side, even when we might be on a different path than we should. The Lord is always with us. Throughout the Bible, there are accounts of the Lord always being faithful to His people even when they turned away. He was always ready to take them back. Regardless of the obstacles you face, be confident in God's love showing through the dark clouds. Find peace in the promise Jesus made in the new covenant. Find strength in knowing the authority of your faith rests in the Lord, for he made the promise. The same God that created us and got us this far will take us through this point in our lives.

Time to put up the Christmas lights. Had to get hooks for outside the school.

The Lord bless you and keep you: The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you: The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 So much power in today's verse. It's hard to find a place to start. This verse comes from Aaron's blessing of the nation of Isreal. We can break this into three parts. The first part is a verse of protection. Only the Lord can truly protect us from evil and ourselves. The second part is a prayer for grace from God. We should arrange time for Him and spend time with Him. We are asking and receiving His grace by bringing Him into our lives. The last part has to do with God looking out for us. This is the ultimate peace that we can find only through Him. Spend time today and give thanks to the Lord. His love knows no bounds, and it is endless. Ask for protection, grace, and peace.

“So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/gal.6.10.RV1895 Today’s verse is really good on days when we need a reminder about offering goodwill to all. We are not sure when Jesus will return, and we are not sure how many days, or perhaps hours, we will have with people before they are gone out of our lives. How many times have you heard people say something like “I wish this weren’t my last words to him.” Every interaction could be your last. I’m not trying to scare you into being nice all the time, but I would like everyone to be more mindful about what comes out of our mouths. Let’s live according to the commandments that He left us. Let’s show the world the good that His followers have to offer the world. Let’s try to be more like Jesus. https://noise.app/Cryptopsycho21

“I will give thanks unto the LORD with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/psa.9.1.RV1895 Today’s verse really strikes a chord with me. Giving thanks is so important, but sometimes it gets taken for granted. This is especially true when we say the words but not the feelings. Nothing is worse than an empty “thank you”. All too often, this is the way we treat the Lord. If we truly wanted to give thanks to the Lord for all the good He has given us, it would take days on end. Even just thanking for the bodily functions that work is a chore. Usually we only draw our attention to the Lord in time of need or dire straits. We seldom give thanks for all the good things we have in our lives. Today is the US Thanksgiving day. I’m out of the country and in Taiwan. The Turkey, traditions, family and friends, are all not available to me. But I take joy in thanking the Lord for all the wonderful things that He has given me, big and small.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭6‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/psa.23.6.RV1895 Today’s verse is one of joy and happiness. We are members of the Lord’s family and He will care for us. This reminds me of how lucky we are to have such a loving and attentive Shepard. He is always on our side even when we aren’t. All too often, we think something is beneficial or desirable, but it’s not. He will gently point us back to the right path. If we continue, he is still watching and caring for us. We are also lucky to have such a kind and caring Father. Take heed to his wisdom and forgiveness. Every time I read the old testament and see Israel’s sin and betrayal, I think of my own life and my own sins. I rejoice at His loving forgiveness.
