What does God want?
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” Micah 6:8 RV1895 bible.com/bible/1922/mic.6.8.RV1895
Today’s verse reminds us how Israel and humans in general behave. It’s so easy to become a judge when we see others' flaws. However, when people see ours, we are justified. We become lawyers defending our actions because we understand them. If they are truly unjust, then others are blamed for our actions.
Does the Lord really ask too much of us?. Is it too much to ask for us to live justly? Is it too much to ask for us to love mercy and want it for all? Is it too much to ask for us to want to walk with the Lord? God has given us so much and asks so little. Let’s go out of our way to show Him our love and appreciation. Give Him praise and glory. Do what He wants and love doing it, for these are good and righteous actions. Humble yourself before Him and your fellow brothers, sisters, and even enemies and strangers.
