The truth shall set you free

Today’s verse can be a confusing one and cause conflict depending on your definition of truth. There is the truth of man. This can be uniquely catered to an individual or a group (usual in power). The majority decides on cultural or popular versions of the truth.

I ran into this during all the COVID mess with Facebook. Anything not fitting the “majority’s idea of the truth was banned or flagged.

Living overseas, a lot of the truth in Taiwan was counter US standards. When I started factual statements from doctors, professors, and educational institutions, my posts were removed. One country’s truth didn’t fit with the other. Glad that’s over.

Then we have the ultimate truth. The truth from the Lord that is personal and loving. We are so blessed that we have scripture that can teach us this ultimate truths that are above man.

These are the truths that we should seek. When we do and find the Love and Sacrifice from the Lord, we can have our freedom that is above all.
