The Living Word
“For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 RV1895 https://bible.com/bible/1922/heb.4.12.RV1895
Today’s verse is a sharp reminder ( get it…sharp) that the Word of God is a very precise tool able to cut between anything in our lives, spirit, soul, mind, and even body.
The Word is active and perfect. In the past, the Lord spoke through profits to make His point. But what happened to the profits? It would be nice if the Lord world speak to us as in the days of old, but would we really be ready to serve as the priority did? They usually suffered terribly and died for what they were divinely told to do.
Today, we have the Word through scripture. Even though it was written an ancient times, it is accurate and perfect for all of us.
Whenever I have a question about what I should do, I find an answer in scripture. Make a habit of reading the Word daily and forming your questions ahead of time.
If you’re not a reader, find a reliable YouTube reader to listen to. Here are some sources:

**my personal favorite is below.
It’s presented by Father Mike. If you’re not Catholic, that’s fine. He points out when there is a difference. He also goes into the Greek and Aramaic meanings if words. Celebrate the Lord together. Put aside differences. We are all in His family.
