The definition of success in life

“For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.”

Today’s verse is one that put everything we do in perspective. If we are to focus on ourselves and the world, we lose everything. However, if we focus on the Lord and His teachings, will save their life.

This really should help us define our definition of success in our lives. Money, power, fame, popularity, sex, and pleasure lead to nothing but ruin.

Those that put everything on the line for the Lord and the Gospel, will only lose that which is meaningless in the long run.

Let’s define success in what is actually important. Let’s show the Lord our love.
