Teach Me To Accept Your Will
“Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: Thy spirit is good; lead me in the land of uprightness.”
Psalms 143:10 RV1895 https://bible.com/bible/1922/psa.143.10.RV1895
Today’s verse comes from David during what might be one of the most trying times of his life. The amazing part of this is that he isn’t praying for his will. He isn’t praying for divine intervention to make his life more comfortable or to solve his problems.
He is asking to be lead by the spirit to learn how to do the will of God. How many times have we been in a difficult situation and prayed that our will be done? That our pains and difficulties solve themselves with extracting a toll on our lives. I know I have.
David gives us such a wonderful example. Even though we are going through a difficult time, we should put the Lord’s will first. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help, our Lord loves to be intensely evolved in our lives. But we should remember that the Lord is on our side and He has the big picture of everything.
