Reward for humility and fear

“The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD Is riches, and honour, and life.”

This verse has so much promise and it sounds easy, doesn’t it. However, it is easier said then done. If we were truly humble before the Lord and others, as well as having fear of the Lord in our heart, our lives would be more straight forward and pleasant. Even the world would be a better place.

Unfortunately, humans naturally rebel against what we should do. What seems straight forward is turned into zigzags by the devil and our own egos. We are all prone to sin and error.

However, we must stay vigilant and industrious. We must keep prayer in our hearts so that when we do get off the straight and narrow, we can see our mistakes, ask forgiveness, and get back on the right path in the light of our loving Lord.
