Most of the time when people talk about the Lord, they talk in terms of a give and take relationship. This is a basic level relationship that might provide enjoyment, and an occasion sacrifice, but that’s it. However, the Lord has already given us so must with all of creation, our lives, and His sacrifice. Yet humanity are treating Him like some kind of Santa or parent that spoils children. Humanity cries for more, while giving less- not everyone, but you know what i mean. The relationship that is referenced in the above verse is true love or unconditional love. This love has the power to melt away the material world and create a safe, loving environment. When In this state, nothing happening can harm the individuals. Recently. my wife was scammed out of a lot of money. She hid it from my for a while. Everyone else knew, but me. When she told me, i said, “everyone makes mistakes.” I reaffirmed my love for her and we made a plan to continue. Of course, a lot of my response is from love. A lot of it is also from my trust and love in the Lord. When you have this kind of love, you delight in the person and have the desires of the heart. This is what the verse means to me. Love the Lord as he loves us.
