Paul, Paul, Paul. I can understand why he was chosen by the Lord. In today’s verse, he’s on fire. First, rest assured. The Lord’s grace is enough. Like a fountain, it runs over and never stops. Do you ever worry about not being able to drink all the water from a water fountain? Of course not. The same is with the Lord’s grace. None is wasted and it will never run out. Second, he celebrates his weakness! Paul isn’t boasting about his accomplishes, or being knocked down by the Lord. He didn’t walk around starting and ending arguments with - I’ve talked to the Lord. Or He chose me, not you! He says that will praise his weaknesses! This is so unnatural. People don’t do this. We love to talk about our advantages, not weaknesses. Paul understands that these are the areas that God had made in you. These are the places for you to work on with the Lord. It’s because if these that we call to the Lord for help. And it’s these places that He touches us and enters our lives. God made us perfect the way He wants us to be. Nothing is a mistake. I have personally experienced this. I can’t my life was broken so I turned to alcohol. Quite a few years in wasted time and money with my best friend- alcohol. Anyone addicted knows that addiction is a demon. It is constantly encouraging you to drink and finding ways to do it. This was my thorn, my weakness. I prayed and asked for help. And I received it. The Lord made my stronger and filled my wound with His grace. The demon is gone. He is waiting to hear from you. Boast of your weaknesses and receive never ending grace. He’s waiting for you!
