O my Soul!
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:”
Psalms 103:2 RV1895 https://bible.com/bible/1922/psa.103.2.RV1895
I really love this verse. When I was younger, I remember this in a hymn in church. I haven’t hear the song in a while, but it still brings back memories.
I really love this because we tend to focus on the Lord when we need something. But we really need to take the time when things are going good and remember all that the Lord has done for us.
One word that always caught me as strange in this verse is when it calls to us to remember His benefits. If one were too weight the benefits vs disadvantages of following God… wow. It’s kind of everything and nothing.
By participating, believing, and worshiping we have access to everything for all of eternity. I the list of goodness would continue forever. While the disadvantage would be not getting a material want. There are so many benefits, try to count them in your life.
And… bless the Lord, O my soul.
