My Lord, My Rock
“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strong rock, in him will I trust; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.” Psalms 18:2 RV1895 bible.com/bible/1922/psa.18.2.RV1895
Today's verse is a very popular one and for a good reason. It seems as if we are in a constant battle in our modern world. For most of us, I hope, it’s not a physical battle with real weapons. However, we are all in a mental, spiritual, and emotional battle. Very few of us find and live in the peace of the Lord. When we are in battle or a struggle we need to think like David. Remember, he was in a real battle for his life.
Prayers can become your soldiers. Prayers can become your skills, prayers can become your shield. And most importantly, they can be your path to the shelter in the Lord. We have everything we need. Of course, there is one more component——trust. He is allowing this for a reason.
Trust in this and find what He wants you to do. Don’t forget, his glory and love are like a fountain. They will never run dry.
Yes prayer is the key to everything, even started Jesus started with and also ended with prayer.
