Wow! Such a powerful verse. This is so “anti” mainstream. We live in a society that is so “self” independent that we are trained that we can do anything if we want. You need help, DIY. It’s more common to look for self help videos and books than to pay to the Lord. While this is good to an extent. Wouldn’t it be better if we humble ourselves and even if we reached it goal gave all glory and honor to Him?

Maybe this is a sign of a brainwashed society. It seems that we are moved by certain “key words” and phrases to motivate us or discourage us. I think, next time we run into a situation where we are encouraged to change rearrange our duration, we take a few minutes and pray about it. Ask the Lord for wisdom and guidance.

With the Lord on your side, we never lose.
