Generosity is a blessing

“There is that scattereth, and increaseth yet more; And there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth only to want.”

Todays verse really hits home with generosity. Those that give will have more. Those that are stingy will end up with less.

When it comes to those of us that really try to be like Christ, generosity says a lot. No one can be more generous than our Father in heaven. He had blessed us with so much more than we could ever deserve or need.

Wants to follow Christ’s example, we should also be generous. But it also says something more profound. When we give what we have or even need, it shows that we trust the Lord to provide for us.

Just think of what the world would be like if ever half of the Christians lived as they should. So many problems would disappear. Even more, it would probably result in the conversion of non-believers. So much good is possible through Christ.
