Fearlessness and discipline

“For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.”

Today’s verse is a great reminder that we are not the stepping stones of others, unless that is our call. We are fully equipped by the Lord to do anything and everything the Lord wants us to.

All too often, Christians are seen as weak in society because Jesus preached love and was the Prince of Peace.

While it is true that we try our best to follow His examples of love, peace, and helpfulness to others, being a follower of Christ is much more. It means that fear is replaced by the love of the Lord and the trust that we have a divine purpose.

Bring a follower of Christ is a simple decision, but it’s complicated and painful at times. We proudly take up our own cross and give up the pleasure of the world. We do what seems illogical to many and sometimes recover criticism about our.

Christ warned us, the world hated and persecuted Him, and so it would hate and persecute us. But we wear that like a badge of honor.
