Be Aware of Principalities

“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Today’s verse really hits hard because of the world we live in. Personally, I don’t support any political party or politician. This is because I see there principalities as similar and corrupt. They only create emergencies, catastrophes, and false media to get an emotional response out of us. But that’s just me.

Similarly, sometimes we need to look at the big picture and consider whose agenda is taking place. I’m good times and bad times, we should move away from the immediate emotional response and really consider what’s happening.

The way we react, even without realizing it, could either be helping our Lord, or our enemy. When something happens, remember David. Read the books of Samuel. Many times before reacting, he asked for guidance from the Lord. Even when his city was destroyed and his wives taken. He had the wisdom to consult the Lord. Keep in mind, he didn’t do this 100% of the time, but it’s a good habit and one we can use.
