Today at summer camp we a fun game. It’s a machine that you put your face in a special place. Then you have to turn the handle. Occasionally the machine will go off and send custard to the individuals face. It’s safe and fun. No one gets hurt. And the custard is yummy.

Today I’m enjoying some herbal tea that the students made at our summer camp. I’m not sure of the English name. I’ve seen it as cool grass tea. No it’s not made of grass. It’s made from a herb that grows around lakes. It’s a very cool drink and helps cool down the body.

Such a busy day. We’re leaving Taiwan tomorrow to visit my mother in the US. So we have been running around all day trying to finish everything and we just finished packing at 10:00pm and we have to get up at 4:30am to leave for the airport at 5:00am. Just finished tidying up after our guests left. This was the gnocchi dish that we made. It turned out nice, but a little too soft. There’s such a difficult balance between taste and texture. Too much flour and you have a nice chewy gnocchi, but the flavor is too much like flour. Too little flour and it will dissolve, but it has a nice potato flavor.
