The story is all about a young woman and a stranger who met in the village because they were in the same hotel. Miss Pyrm lives in a small town of less than 300 people in the mountains. Miss Pyrm, is at the forefront of the novel, along with her interaction with a stranger who comes to town. She is given a chance to change the town for decades to come, but will she? And, the residents, once they learn the secret, how will they react…will greed or fear to motivate them? Or, will it be a combination of both? When a stranger arrives in Viscos, he brings with him a devilish offer: If anybody in town is murdered within a week, every surviving resident will receive a fortune in gold.
