Chow Mein is the most popular Chinese dish in Pakistan. Chow Mein literally means "stir fry noodles". Chow Mein is introduced by the Chinese immigrants in the United States of America. Chow Mein gave delicious taste by adding Pakistani spices.
Let's discuss the recipe of Chow Mein ;
Ingredients ;
Spaghetti 300 gram
Salt 1.5 table spoon
Oil 6 table spoon
Soya Sauce 2 table spoon
Vinegar 1/2 table spoon
White Pepper powder 1 table spoon
Garlic Paste 1/2 table spoon
Ginger Paste 1/2 table spoon
Chicken Boneless Stripes 300 gram
Baking Soda 1/4 table spoon
Chili Sauce 3 table spoon
Chili Garlic Sauce 2 table spoon
Oyster Sauce 1 table spoon
Sugar 1 table spoon
Sesame Oil 1 table spoon
Black Pepper Powder 1 table spoon
Capsicum chopped. 1/3 cup
Carrots chopped 1/3 cup
Cabbage shredded 1/3 cup
1st Step : Preparation Of Sauce ;
Add Soya sauce, chili sauce and Chili garlic sauce in the bowl. Add sesame oil, black pepper powder and salt in the bowl. At the end add oyster sauce and mix it well.
2nd Step : Boiling Spaghetti ;
Boil 2 glass of water in deep pan and add 300 grams spaghetti in the pan. Add 1 table spoon salt and 1 table spoon in the pan. Let the spaghetti boil for 6-7 minutes. Once the spaghetti is done stain and rinse it with tap water. Add 1-2 table spoon oil on the spaghetti to prevent it from sticking and set aside.
3rd Step : Marination & Frying Chicken;
Take a deep bowl, add 2 table spoon soya sauce with 1/2 table spoon vinegar in the bowl. Add 1/2 table spoon garlic and 1/2 table spoon ginger power in the substance. Add 1/2 table spoon salt and white chili powder mix it well. Add Chicken Stripes in the bowl and mix it in the substance. Cover the bowl and set it aside for 15 minutes.
After marination add 2 table spoon oil in the pan and let it heat for a while. Now add marinated chicken and fry it well untill it is done and turn brown. Keep it out in a dish.
4th Step : Frying Veggies ;
Heat 1.5 table spoon oil and add Chopped carrots and chopped capsicum with shredded cabbage in the pan. Let it fry for 6-7 minutes on low flame. Once it is done place it out in the dish.
5th Step : Mixing Substances ;
Heat 1 table spoon oil in the pan add fried chicken strips in pan sprink sauce over the chicken strips and mix it well. Let the chicken fry in sauce for 1 minute. Add fried veggies in the pan and lid the pan for 4-5 minutes.
