Meet the team behind X Plus toys
This is a cool little project that involves Cyclops in space and they are really cool looking with there new series a few weeks away what better way to be introduced to them before there next series .
Is this a team ? How big ? How you guys meet?
Behind the Space Cyclop IP and the trading cards stands a team but we want to keep the team size a secret at this point.
How did you get involved in crypto?
We want to make more friends around the globe while making use of new technologies and the WAX community so far has been a really welcoming one!
How did you get discover NFTs?
It was basically unavoidable to read about NFTs at some point since the news about them were all over the place. We immediately thought about possible use cases for our products and how to provide new ways to collect our figurines.
Why did you choose WAX for your project?
While doing our researches, we came across WAX among several other blockchains and compared to others, WAX just seemed to be the best fit for our new project and our customers. The ease of use for our customers and carbon neutrality were the most important requirements for us.
What is the idea behind your project?
We are constantly looking for new ways to offer new functionalities and ways for our customers to collect our figures. After researching the NFT and blockchain technologies we were sitting together and thought about possibilities how to make use of those. Since Space Cyclop crashed into our office from outer space, it has been quite a curious creature so we thought trying out new things with it might be a good fit.
When did launch?
The initial launch was on April 28th.
How many NFTs have you dropped so far?
Our digital trading card series “Space Cyclop Series 1” was our very first attempt to enter the NFT space. The series contains a set of 72 different cards containing 9 different rarities. It even has a crafting system which you can use to get special cards that can’t be obtained by booster packs.

How did the community react?
We got positive feedback from some people regarding the quality of our trading cards which made us very happy because that was one of the goals that we’ve set for our self, to produce high quality content.
When the next drop ? Sneak peak?
We’ve recently teased our next set of trading cards, “Space Cyclop Series 2”, which will be released around October 2022 and introduces new cards.
What is the process of making your NFTs?
As a team we sit together and brainstorm what poses might be fun to look at and suit to our Space Cyclop characters, in best case to show the characteristics of the Space Cyclop characters. At the same time we’ve prepared the 3D models which are being used for the card animations and initial concepts for the card design itself, followed by making the card animations etc., basically making the final product.
What programs you use for creation?
Basically, the entire available palette of standard tools: PhotoShop, 3DS Max, Maya, Adobe Aftereffects etc.
How long this each NFT take to create?
It really depends on the card, but it took us roughly three to five days per unique animation excluding making the 3D models. Making the different variations wasn’t taking as long once we had the basics.
What is your favorite NFT you have made? Why?
Our favorite card is the dancing Space Cyclop because he looks a bit clumsy and that makes him look so cute and adorable.
Have you done any collabs?
We haven’t done any collabs yet, but we would be happy if there are chances of Kaiju collaborations.
Who would be your dream collab?
We think Kaiju collaborations would be really cool.
Are you a collector of NFTs?
While we don’t actively collect a lot of NFTs, we do own some collectible NFTs from other collections.
Who is your favorite NFT artist?
We don’t really have a favorite NFT artist yet but we are always looking at different collections and have found some really nice content.
What has been the best part of doing your project?
Initially the Space Cyclop characters were developed for collectible figures and illustrations only but having animated 3D models makes them look more alive and allows us to add another layer of details to them showing their characteristics in a way we wouldn’t be able to otherwise.
What has been the hardest part?
I think the hardest part for us was to fully understand the ecosystem and the system of a blockchain. It was the first time for us to interact with blockchains, NFT and web3 so we had to learn a lot first because we didn’t want to doubling down on NFT without really understanding how they work.
What does your family think of your project?
Some of our families don’t know much about the project but they liked the trading cards they’ve seen and thought the Space Cyclop characters are really cute.
Have you introduced anyone to WAX?
We’ve introduced WAX to a lot of our employees and some of our already existing customers started using WAX as well.
Do you land on uplift? If so where is it?
No, we do not use uplift and are currently not planning to use it in the near future.
What you like to do to unwind?
Eating pizza allows us to relax like nothing else.

When is the next drop?
We are planning on releasing our next trading card collection around October 2022.
Any chance of a drop or competition for the readers?
Not right away, but we are thinking about some promotions to support the release of our next collection around October 2022 and giveaways is definitely something we are considering.
Is there anything you would like to add or say before we finish?
We hope we'll be able to build up a community around our collections and also, we'll have a mobile application supporting our NFTs. We can't say much more about it just yet, but we'll provide more information when available via our Twitter account and on our official website.
