The Simple Truths People Forget

When Satoshi Nakamoto wrote the whitepaper for Bitcoin, the intentions for the project were clear. The title of his paper gives away everything, Bitcoin was intended to be a "Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System". For a while, it was. The early adopters and the first people to use bitcoin were able to set the fee at 1sat and they would know that their transaction would be mined in the next block.

As adoption increased and on chain transactions grew it became clear that the Bitcoin blockchain needed to scale. Satoshi's logic was that when the time came, the blocksize could increase because memory would become cheaper and more easily available. His predictions were correct, memory is now extremely cheap and even if the blockchain grew to many magnitudes - storing the entire blockchain would not be an issue.

It Simply Didn't Happen? Yes. It did.

The argument that Bitcoin didn't scale in the way Satoshi intended is only a half truth. It was an unfortunate event that meant that the BTC moniker remained with a chain that followed a different path, but Satoshi's original Peer-to-Peer electronic cash vision continued with the BCH name.

BCH is the original Bitcoin, it's genesis block was mined by Satoshi and the road map it's followed matches the layout of what was originally intended. Yes, it's Bitcoin Cash - but changing something's name (not really by choice) doesn't mean you change the vision. AntShares renamed to NEO, RaiBlocks renamed to Nano - the projects remained the same.

BTC and BCH Can Work Harmoniously

Yes, there is a lot of animosity between the BTC maximalists and the BCH community. Although understandable, it doesn't help either project and it tarnishes the cryptocurrency/blockchain reputation.

BTC is going to continue on it's "Digital Gold" mission - and if anything, that's great news for BCH. There is no longer a competition, BCH is Bitcoin and BTC is a "store of value" asset that formed from the Bitcoin blockchain.

This allows BCH to be what it is meant to be, Peer-to-Peer electronic cash. And personally I want to thank those who put the time and effort in to protect the Bitcoin Blockchain.

Despite attacks from all angles, the Craig Wright drama, Amaury and ABC - the Bitcoin blockchain has managed to survive with the help of some very talented and underappreciated individuals.

So thank you all who keep this chain alive - and thank you Satoshi for developing the future of money.
