🔵 Why are Bitcoin Bull Runs SO HUGE?? Why Does a Bull Run Take 2-6 Months to Begin AFTER a Halving?

● Why is there a 2-6 month delay between the Bitcoin halving and the price going up? (Based on supply and demand, if the supply decreases and demand remains constant or goes up, the price should increase. So why does it take 2-6 months, historically, for the bitcoin price to move up?)

● Why are bitcoin bull runs and bear markets so huge in size? Why is Bitcoin so volatile over a many years time-frame?

Why did SN use a 4 years halving instead of a smooth decrease?

excellent question.

I can only think of 1 answer pretty much: to make the schedule easier to understand for non-math-inclined people. It wouldn't be hard to have an emission schedule that changes the mining reward with every block and still aggregates to 21 million. That function wouldn't be as easy to understand as the "halves every 4 years", though. The 21 million limit is one of the cornerstones of Bitcoin and it was (is!) tremendously important that everyone understands how the limit works and trusts it will be effective.

Other than that I only see upsides to having a smooth function: it would reduce any volatility/uncertainties introduced by the step-function Satoshi chose.

Hey man, I like your videos and sometimes watch them. However due to time constraints I often don't.

I think your content is very valuable (of course I don't always agree, but that's not an issue).

IMO you could add a lot of value (to yourself and read.cash) if you would take the time (or pay someone to do so) and produce a written version of your video. Having just the juicy bits in writing would make the content a lot quicker to absorb for me. I can read faster than you can talk. Having a textual version would also make your content more visible to search engines and the likes.
