Good morning to you. How did your night go? Mine wasn't that bad, but it was stressful and I am tired right now, it all started when I when I was writing this article last night and I dozed off while writing the article, because of a very stressful day, I even forgot to eat before sleeping last night, It's hustle it's not easy out here.
Heroes don't always get good rewards.
This evening I was trying to think about a topic to write, unto no avail, I even spent more time on social media, thinking that I will see a topic to write on, that's when I came across a post on Facebook that got my attention, it was short and easy to understand the post, I will write it as it was written on Facebook, I want to get your opinion in the case.
Illegal Immigrant, Jubril Deported, Banned After ‘Heroic’ Act in Spain 😭
“This african man called Jibril is an immigrant in Valencia, Spain. Jibril picked an envelope containing €4,250 (Over N2.5m) on one of the streets in Valencia few days ago.
Jibril then chose to play a hero and decided to take the envelope containing the money to the police and handed it over to police officers.
The officers and everyone around were surprised.
The police officer in charge then asked Jibril who is also an illegal immigrant to make a statement and its at that moment that they asked him to present his personal papers (ID)
The police officer then discovered that Jibril did not have a residence card (ID) to prove that he was legally living in Spain. He was then immediately detained.
Sadly, Jibril was last week deported back to his home country in Africa and banned for years without ever stepping a foot in Spain!”
I kind of think that this is not a fair judgment at all, this might be because he is black though, because for him to return that big sum of money to the police, Some of the police know that it is the wrong way to treat the man, but they sent him back to his country in Africa and told him never to step foot in Spain again.
I have seen a lot of heroes who got rewarded by something unexpected, trust me when I say it’s not really worth the strength, people that returns items or goods taken are rare, here, I have read a case on Facebook, when a young man saw a huge amount of money on his tricycle, he drive back to the last person he carried as passenger and returned the money, the owner of the money thanked him and rewarded him with airtime, like, what the F*#k, as huge as that money, you can’t be generous enough to reward him handsomely, well, maybe next if the young man come across such money again in his tricycle, he won’t bother to return it, because one lesson is enough.
closing thoughts
It’s true that good deeds can’t favor everyone, some people get lucky when they do something good and get rewarded handsomely, while some end up regretting it, either ways both of them did good in the sight of God, most times before we decide to do good or do something like “returning what we found” let’s try to double think it, we are not double thinking about to return it or not, let’s double think it that we might not be rewarded as expected, because doing good things don’t always make way for handsome reward, it’s all about being true to yourself and God, forget about the reward of man, for it doesn’t last long, only the reward of God last longer. Thanks for reading and have a blessed day ahead.
Sad for the Jibril. It's all about better decisions, if he takes the right decision now, he will not regret but this is the life we learn from our own mistakes.
