Is Arc Reactor of Iron Man possible in real life? Before further discussion, let's know what Arc Reactor is. Actually acr reactor is some type of power source initially made of palladium core. It was first used in Mark 1 suit of Iron Man. As Tony Stark is an intelligent person so he use to modify and upgrade his arc reactor with the time. In recent movie Endgame Tony made a Vibranium Suit using Nanotechnology.

Arc Reactor

Tony has two arc reactors. The small one in his suit and another big one in his lab.

Interestingly this arc reactor is exist in our real world. Yes, you heard it right. This fusion reactor is exist in our real world. This fusion reactor is Tokamak Fusion Reactor and it is so huge that it may occupy the space of a theme park.

Difference

Tony's big reactor and real Fusion Reactor are so much different. In the movie we have not seen any coolant and equipment to keep reactor's temperature in control but in real life it is mandatory to keep its temperature in control. In the movie we have seen Tony and other person standing near the Reactor without any P.P.Es. but in real life no person can go near the Reactor without a specified suit and P.P.Es due to its radiations.

Problem

We have reactor but the problem is that it so bigger in size. So the problem is how to compress this big reactor into a cup sized one because according to the thermodynamics this is impossible to store this huge amount of energy in a small container. If we try to compress energy in a cup sized container then huge amount of heat will produce and one of the two possibilities will happen.

  1. Either container would blast.

  2. Or container would melt and vaporize.

Secondly, if you compress a mountain to a size of pea then it will become a black hole. Although scientist are trying hard reduce the size of reactor but with the existing technology we still can't do that.

Just Imagine

Just Imagine that somehow we managed to creat a cup sized reactor and to keep its temperature in control then how you will manage to distribute its power you dumb ass. That's the main thing. This is not like a water tank that you just open the tap and get it. It is a power source with unlimited energy and heat. It is like a nuclear bomb. If it leaks it will explode.

Storing a big amount of energy in a small container itself is an wonder, then its distribution according to your desire would be more complicated and tough. You have to keep in mind that it might burn or melt the thing you want to give energy.

The energy this reactor will produce would be equal to the energy of big nuclear reactor because it use to update it self as we have seen in comics. So, to distribute energy you would need a coolant and a convertor. Because if you use energy without using convertor it will be unstable and will explode.

One more important thing is that you are not producing the energy in that container but you are just storing it in that as we have seen in Iron Man 3 that Tony use to charge it with local electricity. This means you just have to store energy in reactor and don't worry about producing.

Conclusion

If you can compress a big fusion reactor to a cup sized one then you will just need a coolant, then make a convertor to distribute or channelize energy according to your will. That's it. You did it. You are the next Iron Man. LMAO
