Today we live in a hyper-connected society - and we are all moving towards an increasingly decentralized society.

  • 7.75 Billion people on earth

  • 5.179 Billion mobile/smartphone users

  • 4.54 billion internet users!

Barely 12 years ago (in 2008) the first cryptocurrency was born, and the same year saw the birth of the Blockchain. These 2 major events have profoundly changed our relationship with money, and new technologies - At that time we were only 1.57 billion internet users around the world.

Since then, the Blockchain technology has not stopped developing, and its fields of application are infinite and unlimited:

  • Banking and Insurance

  • Agri-food

  • Health

  • Art and Music

  • Real Estate

  • Gaming

What is the Blockchain in a nutshell:

The Blockchain is an incorruptible online ledger of economic transactions. This means that every transaction or entry on the Blockchain can be traced and consulted at any time by anyone in the world.

This digital register is not hosted by a person, or a server, or a company, but by a network of hundreds of millions of computers around the world, which makes the Blockchain immutable.

The Transparency of Information does not mean that the identity of the users of this Blockchain is revealed, but on the contrary is publicly protected, because no one can know WHO is the person who issued the transaction, nor even WHO is the beneficiary of the transaction.

Blockchain (since its conception) is a decentralized Technology:

This decentralization is what is essential for the development of this technology, but also what allows it to be adapted to a multitude of fields of application.

Decentralization allows the suppression of a called 'trusted' third party, let's take a concrete and simple example:

You are travelling to the other side of the world, and you need to visit a doctor, but how do you do it? Between the language barriermedicines and symptoms do not have the same name, how to explain that you need this or that treatment, or that you are allergic to this or that molecule? → In concrete terms, the decentralization of your medical file allows any doctor worldwide (all in an ultra secure and confidential way) to access your medical file, your medical history, your medical contraindications, etc ... By removing this third party which is either the hospital, or your attending doctor (who must send your complete file by fax or email), and thus save a phenomenal amount of time, because the doctor you go to consult will have instant access to your medical history on the Blockchain.

Now let's take an interest in Chess Games (BrainiacChess), and especially in what Blockchain and Decentralization can bring the best to everyone.

Currently we have to conform to rules dictated by each country or organization across the world. When we want to participate in international online chess tournaments, everyone can reserve his place and participate in this kind tournaments (access is made easier by the popularization of the Internet but also by the speed of the network, and an almost worldwide coverage).

The first problem is the financial aspect (betting and winnings from bets or tournaments require financial transactions), we have to go through financial institutions

  • Payment by credit card

  • Bank wire

  • Paypal

  • Cash transaction (Western Union...)

Each of these payment methods has some advantages, but also their share of disadvantages:

  • Credit card: risk of 'phishing', where your card information stored on your device can be hacked.

  • Bank wirefull traceability of the issuer of the paymenthigh fees, and long transaction times (up to 5 days)

  • Paypal: Obligation to provide at least an email address (or even a phone number)

  • Cash transaction by cash mandate: Obligation to provide a surname, first name and domiciliation, relatively high fees (up to 10% of the amount transferred)

All these means of payment do not guarantee anonymity or the security of your funds.

The second problem is that after the online tournaments, the winners receive financial compensation, and we come back to the same problems listed above.

When we know that there are close to 600 million people who practice this ancestral art (according to FIDE), we are in a position to wonder why financial institutions and organizers have not yet thought of something simpler to apply and use for all these players, knowing full well that this industry generates hundreds of millions of dollars annually.

It is by thinking about all these current problems that the founder of BrainiacChess wished to develop a cryptocurrency (CHESS) and to integrate chess on the Blockchain and thus Decentralization.

Solving the major problems which are: Financial transactions, and Anonymity

By opting for a unique cryptocurrency for :

  • Reserve your tournament place

  • Rewarding tournament winners

  • Place bets

  • Purchasing

  • etc...

Transactions will no longer be counted in days! But in a few seconds (maximum a few minutes), no matter what currency you use in your country, everyone will use the CHESS cryptocurrency, and conversely everyone will be able to convert CHESS into cash/FIAT if they want to.

Moreover, the use of the Blockchain for transactions ensures anonymity, the security of your funds, but above all a total transparency on the amounts, no more possible litigation, and very low fees applied (necessary for the proper functioning of the network).

Each user of the Blockchain has two elements:

  • A public key

  • A private key

Public Key, composed of a random sequence of numbers and lettersguarantees you anonymity, if you wish to register for an online tournament, it is the only information you have to provide, it will serve as your identifier, but it's also your Wallet address to receive the rewards, it is Public, so feel free to use it.

In contrast to Private key, which must be stored in a safe place (for more security, please write it down on a piece of paper and store it in a safe place out of sight, do not print it (it can be found in the memory of your printer), do not save it in your computer, nor in your mail (it can be stolen by hackers), do not take a picture of it with your phone (high risk of hacking or loss of it)). Its function is to access your Wallet, and thus authorize transactions, without this private key, nobody will ever be able to access (or even steal) your funds, it is the same if you lose it, your funds will be lost foreverThis key is the ultimate security for your assets

The Blockchain Technology, as well as the Decentralization serving the Chess Games, (this ancestral art modeled by a mix of culture through cultures and times (format and size of the game board, number of pieces, color of the squares, design of the pieces, meanings of the pawns, stories, traditions and legends ... but also the man who always dreamed that one day the machine could beat Man during a Chess game), is obviously the next evolution of this game.

You can now get your first CHESS, in anticipation of the upcoming tournaments, on the exchange platforms:

Also take the opportunity to join us on BrainiacChess Telegram

May you continue to enjoy your passion for a very long time to come, while at the same time taking advantage of the new technologies that are made available to everyone, for everyone's benefit.

Thanks to all of you

See you soon.
