The culture of cycling had its peak in 2016, until the Covid19 pandemic took the scene. Every outdoor activities were affected and abruptly halted as for the order of the government, for health precaution.
People came up with different indoor activities to stay sane out of doldrums during the whole Enhance Community Quarantine (ECQ) period. When the quarantine period was lifted, whilst with the strict health and social being precautions being enforced, people started making necessary changes on their lifestyle. People went out for short walk, jogs, and others rode their bikes. It was then that cycling was enliven.
People turned into cycling, even some motorcycle enthusiast shifted their interests into it too. Every morning there will be always at least several cyclist peddling around the city. There are some young and adult cyclist organising a group for a long ride biking activity. The once motorcycle-filled sidewalks were replaced by bicycles.
This tough circumstances we are in taught us the importance of maintaining our physical and mental health into a stable state. The revival of cycling played a significant role in helping alleviate the situation as it makes the person function while going into places to unwind, wandering through series of tours for quenching the doldrums that are thirsty for human experience.
Cycling is an active agent that contributes in stabilising the humanistic state of continuous functioning. As the journey of cycling negates the world from being totally shackled by the unseen enemy, may biking be a mode to empower humanity.
