Every institution shall have its own mission and vision as well as policies in order to have a purpose and to reach a certain goal. In connection, Bicol University envisioned a world class university where good leaders came from and people who will change the future for the better. Also, it aims to develop an institution that enables a healthy environment where students learn and will help them achieve their dreams and goals in the future. In order to achieve or reach this vision, Bicol University oath to provide students` necessary trainings and advance guidelines as well as teachings in various disciplines which include, Literature, Philosophy, Science, and the Arts. In addition to this, both technological and scientific researches are promoted to enable students to engage more in this field. At first, the vision of Bicol University is quite vague to me; it feels like being branded as world class is way too impossible. As I continue my journey, I realized that nothing is impossible if we have a clear goal and a vivid way to achieve it. Bicol University Alumni topping the Board Exam, high rate of graduates and passers, successful Businessmen, and a lot of people who achieved their dreams are now giving meaningful contributions to the community and these are some of the stepping stones in achieving what the university envisioned. Of course there`s still a lot way to go, the system for example, due to massive number of students, processes cannot be carried out easily. Some facilities are not well maintained, and laboratories are not well equipped. But, these problems can be address if both the students and the faculty will cooperate. Bicol University`s mission and vision shall coincide to achieve its certain goal.
