Welcome pot noodle fans today I'm going to give a run down on a few of my favourite flavours.
1) in the number 1 spot is the classis, the daddy of the pot noodle range, the chicken and mushroom. 1 thing that needs to be mentioned though and I'm sure the more experienced of you out there already know this, but, use a better quality soy sauce. The included sachet used to be ok but it's not up to the job these days and a dash of two of a premium soy sauce is just so much better. The chicken and mushroom water level guide is about spot on, although if anything slight underfill on first pour and if thick on the 2 min mix, boil that kettle and add a touch more.
2) chow mein, another from what could be called the classic range for those pot Noodler's that been fans since the early days. Again, like the chicken and mushroom, a better quality soy us recommended to being the full flavour out of these beauties. As for water levels, I always overfill the chow mein, give a good 2 min stir, then after the second 2 min stand give a more gental but still a solid stir before a generous dash of your upgraded soy, 2 or 3 dashes is recommended.
3) original curry, now I'm going to be quite controversial here and say although your genuine curry pot noodle is great, there is a much cheaper alternative that hits the same spot for pot noodle curry flavour lovers. The Tesco own brand curry pot noodle. Now for some this is not a option because they like the satchet,and Tesco includes none in there's but, I don't include the satchet in the genuine curry pot noodles anyway. Like I said this is quite controversial in the pot noodle world but id say if you haven't tried it, give it a try, at a third of the price these Tesco bad boys are a steal.
