Running Towards My Fears
Just because you're scared and hoping to escape some situations doesn't mean it won't come when its suppose to come. For most people we know that day we come when we would have to face our fears, we've been avoiding it for the longest time, but each day it draws nearer, similar to a student scared of test day because he feels he isn't well prepared for it, however the day comes and he has no choice but to write. Same applies to life, there is a test day for everyone, a day to prove ourselves and show our worth, however we can only give what we have, regardless of your fears it doesn't return, the best we can do is prepare to face it with the hope of triumphing.
To some fear is an illusion, to others its real, both are correct, it's all dependent on who isn't afraid anymore no matter the challenges coming and who is. How long would the life of fear continue, it has to end and end real quick There's an extent to what we can achieve, to how much we can do when we are not free to act and react, everyone needs a free and conducive environment to explore and showcase what it is we want to do.
We sometimes have the craziest of ideas, one that would likely meet a lot of adversities, and seeing we care about our image in the eyes of others we want to ensure that we are seen in the right way. However this doesn't and shouldn't matter because we are all required to fulfill our individualist goals and ambitions and at that not everything we set out to do would be appreciated by everyone, we should just keep acting as expected, not in fear of what people might say or do. Live is too short to leave our goals aside so as to please another person.
In our different stages of life, we have had what we fear and has been a limiting factor to our effectiveness, for example as little children most of us were in fear of pleasing our parents, doing things otherwise might be incurring punishment that we wouldn't like. In schools few of us had someone who always pick on us, anytime we encounter such person its always like we go nuts, we just hope they wouldn't be coming to school every time, at your job, your boss might be strict and you know if you don't play your cards right, you can be substituted (Fired) ASAP, well it differs with places but the problem is more about the people, because the same places and location where you're living in fear, there's another person who is living their best life out there, however no one is pointing a gun to their head so why be so scared of living.
Do what you must, treat your ambition with greater respect than you treat those things and people you fear. We need to know that although it seems like time is still much, so we can take things slow, enjoying living in the fear and just wait for the people we fear and the things we fear to find its way out of our lives, before we can start living. This is a sincerely bad plan. Firstly time is not on anyone's side, each passing seconds are swiftly creeping into minutes, then to hours, then days, months and years eventually, so why not decide to act now.
Wait moreover what's the worst that can happen, you get embarrassed, hated or even confronted, well sooner than later its what we all must face when we are trying to push against all odds, in no time everyone would learn to see things for how you have been seeing them, they would learn to appreciate you if only you can bear to fight for what you believe in. Nothing good comes easy, if something good has the intentions of having a spot in this wicked world then it should be a good fighter, ready to fight against all other adversaries.
Remember, the story of Ben Carson, one of the world best neurosurgeon, at the early stages of his life he had to go to school just like us, but one thing stood sure, that was his ambition to be recognized, if he wanted to be appreciated on the TV screen then it wasn't going to happen by him always watching his time away on the TV, but rather working hard to see himself grow values, values worthy of celebrating nationwide.
The story of his remarkable conjoined twin separating operation that shook the world wasn't by luck, rather determination and years of preparation. He could have decided not to take steps when the upper level doctors were not active, he could have hidden under the disguise of I'm a dark skinned and most people might feel I'm incompetent, no rather he knew of his everyday burning desires and was intentional to working it out to see the best come out of it.
Where are you living in fear, what areas? fear of what, if its something everyone battles with, that's the fear of the unknown like death, like what the future holds, would I be this, can I get that and all other questions of uncertainty, then you can still call it quit, forget all the things you don't have the power to change, and just live, don't fear it rather believe and have faith in God in helping you achieve the best off life. For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of joy, of peace and of sound mind. Let's avoid the scares of life and choose to be brave. Face things head on. We can overcome.
Lastly, let's shun gender based violence, as the ladies should be free to air their views and speak out when needed, already the society has began treating justice equally, yet there are many ways and places where the ladies are made to live in fear, because they can be overpowered and suppressed as will, this should stop, everyone has the right to equal standing. Already the ladies have done a great deal of innovations and inventions in which the world if proud of today. Treat everyone equally and not pushing them into being afraid, hiding under their shell, the environment should be made conducive for everyone to be the best they can be.
Thanks for reading guys, much love.
