Pulling Out Of The Competition

0 53

Before now, I thought there were things i would never do, I'd be like I can never say that, not until recently that I've been surprising myself, the actions and attitudes I never thought possible are what I've been exhibiting and it just tells me there is more to me than I know, or maybe it's not a matter of wrong or right but a matter of consciously taking a stand and standing firm by it. However there are still numerous things that I've avoided, things I've not done and don't plan on doing even though they appear appealing to do, so yes I try, however I still need to understand myself, slowly watch where my cravings are and seek for neccessary adjustments.

One area constantly posing a threat to wish I've been surprising myself are competitions, trying to make a point so I sometimes go out of my way and other times do what I shouldn't, things like this requires a calmer approach, cause as much as life is filled with competition we all must see our selves are the best, such self affirmation helps not operate well in a competition without feeling like you're in a competition. It's quite shocking to know that the person you're always feeling inferior about, has his or her own issues to battle with, appearing all good and nice to the public eye, keeping everyone wishing they could be more like him or her but that person also wishes for a better life too, even doesn't see why everyone should be heavy on his or matter, and at best you can't afford to make anyone's life your mirror, and just strive to be better.

Make the competition against your past, being a better you. Focus on what's important, while it seems everyone around is trying to surpass and appear better than you, and as much as you want to careless about what others are doing in comparison to yourself, its only would lead to more and more noticable, although its a good push to making one sit up and try to do better, yet with this you'll never truly appreciate your growth, the main strive should be becoming a better you, are you better improved than how you were formally. What new skill have you learnt, what new grounds are you breaking.

You are your own big picture, the goal is to become better and at such we must self reflect within ourselves, notice a growth or decline in our lives so we can either appreciate ourselves or become more alert to trying harder. When the competition is with someone else you can be blinded by envy that would seem like you're the most useless person on earth, when in reality you're better than you were formally, and this low self esteem has its way weighing you down or yet you totally giving up on yourself.

Also when you feel like you are better off than everyone else and so you're busy feeling like the best, cause when you compare yourself to others, it as though there's no other person that's better off, but when you decide to self reflect you might be shocked to find out that you have become worse, and your past was better off than your present, and the people you are comparing yourself with have only made you so relaxed to push harder thereby deteriorating in self achievement, it indeed is a very dangerous thing for a person not being able to have a track record of how far he or she has come, to see if he's going on an upward slope or downward.

Humans have a way of making you feel like your effort isn't good enough, more like what you are doing with your life isn't worth it, when you know you're putting in your best, they might discourage you into thinking you're being lazy, and should your self confidence to fighting off the discouragement be low, it'll only bring you down, already with the low self esteem created by these pressure one would find it difficult to be bold in public, when your peers seat to catch fun, instead of just enjoying the moment, you'll be taking things more seriously, because your mindset has been fixed on competition. These way your might be feeling embarrassed at words or actions that really shouldn't cause much effect on you. The competition should be with yourself, as you are constant on trying your best.

Its okay to have people you look up to, people who have gone ahead in your field or your craft and are doing well for themselves, mentors are great guidance to better improvement, but when you center your life in comparison to the mentor or people you admire, then you can only be disappointed in the long run. Because some areas luck has shown on their side, some areas family has supported, you can't possibly liken your life with another person, what works for others doesn't always work for another, and to this effect its best we take time to know ourselves and understand how things usually works in our lives, so we know how to make the best do with ourselves.

Get advice, seek information but in all these know and understand yourself, that way you'll know what to pick and use to your advantage. The main focus is on ourselves, our lives improvement is the big picture and not to be better than everyone, we all have what we desire and seek to achieve and so we can't afford to make anyone's priorities our own, their likes might not be ours, their taste might disgust you, so remain focus, this way you can better sieve out what you want. Focus on yourself. The competition is not against anyone, its with yourself.

Happy weekend, have yourself a lovely fun time, enjoy a you time.
