Everything begins with a vison

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law. When a man lacks vision, he has made himself lawless. He does not have any divine knowledge of his future, hence he can live life as he pleases, no rules, no law, no principle to live by. A vision less man is a danger to everyone, especially to himself. Do not be emotional with the destination of your life, it is not advisable. You should not allow emotion cloud the decision of your future. Sometimes, we can be in a position where we are stuck in either pursuing our vision or having to care about what people will say. Do not allow anything stand in between you and your vision. A man that lacks vision is prone to making mistakes in life, it is possible that he would have to try too many options in life. A vision is the ability to represent pictorially the things God has spoken to you in his word or by visitation about your tomorrow and the future to come. Common mistakes that some persons make is calling vision and dream the same thing. They are significantly different. A dream can be said to be a pictorial representation of your desires. Most times, we desire to have some things, like our dream house, dream car, dream job and so on. It is just our desire, and it is different from the things God has said to you about your life. As a matter of fact, dream is limited to our human knowledge and capacity, but what God says about our life does not have limitation.

Differences between Vision and Dream

The substance of a dream is the desire of a man, but the substance of a vision is what God said to you clearly about your life. You don't have to chase things, chase your vision and things will fall in place naturally. Dreams can be bogus and lacking in definite pathway of achievement, but visions are more intentional with a clear cut pathway to at least starting and moving towards the achievement. Another notable thing is that dreams are common, but visions are rare. If we take a statistics check, we will discover that a lot of people have what they desire in life, as in dream, but when it is about vision, many do not know what God's plan is for their life, or maybe many do not care.

Two cardinal things you must know about vision

The first point to note is that vision determines the direction of a man's life. A man of vision cannot miss the way, because he knows where to go. As long as you are obedient and you are paying more attention to details, you will always know the next step to take in life. You would have a path that is ordered, and you can not be in a situation where you are stranded of the way to go, because you know what God says about your life and you believe it.

The second cardinal thing you must know about vision is that it determines the supply that flows to your direction. Sometimes, we ask for too much and most times they are things that are not needed. If your vision is related to politics, you will agree that the resources you need will be different from some that his vision is related to being a a pastor. Our vision determines what we need in life. For instance, for someone that travels to different countries for ministration, it is not bad for the person to have a private jet, unlike someone that just need it for pleasure.
