Surf Up And Chase Them Sunsets Greetings to everyone! I am still a little blank at the moment, and composing some thoughts is kind of challenging especially when you are weeping. But then again, photos give us some ideas on what to write. It is also one of the advantages of peeking into Facebook - it brings back memories through your photos. Today, I am going to take you all on another virtual tour. Welcome to my lovely little town! The Surfing Capital Of The North: San Juan, La Union Philippines!

The photo above was taken exactly two years ago today. Look at these happy tourists - they're very excited to learn surfing. And of course, the unlimited photoshoot behind those surfboards. Click click click. Smile! Say cheese! Peace Sign! Before the pandemic, my daughter and I used to hang out at the beach just watching the waves until the sun will set. By the way, our house is just a few walks from the surfing area. Two years ago today, we were at one of the surf resorts chilling having our snacks, and this was the view in front of us. Happy days. Happy times.

And here is another set of tourists in the water. I think they were Koreans. I feel a little bad for them though because there were no waves that day. The beach was very calm and still. I am pretty sure they still enjoyed paddling out back and sitting on their surfboards. For the most part, the greatest months for surf are in the months of August through to the start of November. During this season the coast gets the most tropical storm growth and the best breezes for surfing. During May, June, and July, the surf is by and large more modest, yet when it's on the conditions are great. San Juan has waves that can arrive at 8 to 10ft on a decent swell. So if you are planning to surf, or would want to learn how to surf, the best would be around September- November. You get the best monster waves in front of you.

Just a little history of my town. It is a territory with a rich history that is known for its antiquated places, ruins, vintage churches, and journey destinations. A few years recently, San Juan has acquired prevalence as a surfing destination for novices and experienced surfers alike.

San Juan, La Union is certainly the most loved go-to-beach of the present age. It's the ideal end-of-the-week escape place, regardless of whether you need a lot of alone time or a free day with friends or family. Obviously, the best thing about my town is unquestionably the surfing. While it isn't actually for swimming, surfing the waves here is unquestionably remunerating.

Regardless of whether you're a novice or a professional surfer, you can find a lot of surf instructors around. I have a couple of surfer friends - let me know if you want to visit and I'll hook you up. Surfing is one of the water sports that anybody can attempt even without experience. If you are visiting without a surfboard, you can lease one and it will cost you around PHP 400 Philippine pesos (according to my surfer friend) or $8 to $10 USD/hour. If you are a novice/no experience in surfing, you can also hire a surf instructor. Rates are the same. You can hire them for PHP 400 Philippine pesos per hour. San Juan, La Union is considered the Surfing Capital of the Northern Philippines, and I swear, it is one of the best spots to unwind and relax.

San Juan, La Union is situated in the eastern part of the Philippines and is an ideal spot to watch the sunsets after a long day of surfing. Remember to bring your cameras and snap pictures or videos, as you will be amazed while the sun is setting in front of you. Here are a couple of my backyard's sunsets. I call the beach my backyard (surfing area) because it's just a few walks away from our house.

I really believe it's the little things in life that make it worth living.
