This was my first trip when I was in my high school days. In my church then, we the youth plan just to go for an excursion to Ikogosi worm spring where cold and hot water immerge together.
This being my first move, I was so happy that at least I will be going out for an excursion. I planned towards it just to make sure that day is great.
A week to that day was as if is a day before the main day. I couldn't sleep to my satisfaction till the day eventually came.
On that very day early in the morning around 5 a.m, I was the first person to came out where I live to go and take my bath and water was very cold and it entered my medulla oblongata.
I dressed as early as possible, put on my Christmas cloth, wear my favorite shoe, put on my admiring wrist watch and I look so gorgeous to look.
Then we were to meet by 8a.m in the church and I was the first person to get there by 7a.m. When others came they all met me there and we're amazed to see me in church at that time. The aroma of my perfume alone can make devil run away.
Due to my happiness and the way I was excited that morning, I forgot to eat. we waited for the driver to come but we couldn't see him.
It was around 12p.m the driver came around that day and I was seriously hungry because I taught that if I went to eat the driver might come and I will be left behind. That day was ethical, but glory be to God we eventually took our live.
The journey supposed to be an hour but we spent two hours because the vehicle was very slow in speed.
When we got there, the atmospheric condition of the environment alone got me hooked up. People from different locations where there having fun along with different party.
We went to where to lodge. But I thank God because what we did first is to eat because I was so hungry within and without. We ate and I was back to myself again.
We later went for what brought us to the event. we firstly went to where the water was coming from then later to where the cold and hot water met together. It was really surprising, the two water didn't enter each other but just kissed. I was shocked.
I need to confirm this myself by touching the two water and the hot one was hot and the cold one was cold, Wahoo! It was amazing. we have fun, felt the atmosphere, took pictures and even went to the swimming pool.
People that I have never related with before in the church, we begin interacting, exchange of numbers and so on. We went with instruments , play music, danced , drink.
When it was around 4 p.m, we have to embark on journey back home because of the situation of our vehicle. That day come and see how women begin the second face of the excursion.
They talk and talk that we barely hear each other. Different gist from every angle. Everybody brought their mobile phone and begin to watch pictures, people that took videos began watching it. Before we new it, we are in the church premises.
Everybody shouted even people around new that we have arrived. we prayed and everybody departed. I enjoyed myself to the fullest and I makes new friends that day.
In conclusion, going on an excursion is part of education because it will expose you to new knowledge and you will learn alot
I have always wish to visit the spring since I was in secondary school but I hope someday I will
