We had dinner last night with my boss at Teppanya, unfortunately, I was not able to take photos of the food. You will surely forget everything once they are served in front of you (laughs).
One of my colleagues tried tossing the egg with the spatula and guess what happened? Well, of course, the egg broke 😋.
Happy weekend!

Hey! It’s been a while since you haven’t heard from me here. Just got myself too busy in the last couple of days and in fact we just had our first big event at the company after the pandemic. We celebrated our Year End Party yesterday face-to-face with so much fun and excitement.
Sharing with you a photo of me and my colleague in not so glamorous outfit. The theme was a masquerade ball. I am kind of anti social person so I felt a bit awkward here (laughs).
Dogs are known for their loyalty that’s why they are called man’s best friend.
This buddy here is not mine. He went near me and sits with me while I rested on the pavement during my weekly cycling. I have no idea what was on his mind when he went near me. One thing I know for sure was he wanted to be friends with me.

My daughter showed me her most recent artwork. She is grade 7 and taking visual arts in Junior high. Even if she is showing her skills in this type of genre, I am not sure if this is her passion. You know she is still young and naïve and most likely will change her interests in other things as she grows. Anyway I am always supportive when it comes to my kids needs particular in school matters.

Our neighbor gave me this fruit as he just came from the province. I used to eat this type of fruit when I was a kid because it grows almost everywhere in our place.
Most people don’t give importance to this type of fruit because maybe they think this doesn’t have health benefits.
I gave this to my kids to let them know what it tastes like. This was the first time they saw a live star fruit (Carambola), Balimbing in tagalong, and Bereran in our native language.
I was hoping they would like the taste of a ripe star fruit but they don’t. Well of course they grew up in Metro Manila and not used to see or eat fruits like this that can only be found abundant in provinces.

What can you say about the plan to impose an additional tax on online services like Netflix, Spotify, or Lazada?
That was the question from a TV reporter who interviewed me at 3 PM while I was waiting for my grade 7 daughter outside their school.
I wasn’t expecting that I’d be her subject for her segment on PTV4 news at 6 PM this evening. Good thing I didn’t get nervous. I mean yeah, first time ever in my 20 years here in Metro Manila. 😆
An Interview With PTV Correspondent: Additional Tax For Online Services In PH
I was waiting for my grade 7 daughter outside their campus to fetch her home when a woman approached me. She introduced herself as a TV reporter and asked me if I am watching Netflix films or if I am used to watching movies.
I wasn’t expecting that it would end up in an interview to feature in today’s news with PTV4 at 6PM news report. I didn’t see it coming.
Honestly, I don’t like to be interviewed by any TV reporter. You know I am not used to talking in front of a camera, especially a newscaster's camera. But the reporter asked permission in a very polite manner so I granted her request. I might have an *”antipatico”* attitude but I know when to respect a person.
She said she only had two questions for me to answer with the camera rolling.
The questions were:
**1. What benefit do you get in watching movies?**
**2. What can you say about plans to impose additional tax on online services like Netflix, Spotify or Lazada?**
Before I agreed to the actual interview, she already asked me to answer those questions off cam so it’s just like I have repeated my answer when the camera starts recording.
My answer to the first question was that watching movies helped me in writing content. It is one of the sources from where I get ideas in posting stories to my blog site. Then my answer to the next question was that I would stop my subscription to Netflix (assuming that I am subscribed) because it’s not that important. I have my ways to watch new films even not subscribed to such movies listing.
It would be hard to budget the income just in case the government would materialize additional tax to those online services. I might as well lessen purchasing products online.
The lady reporter asked, are you a writer? I said no, I’m not, I don’t write to any registered publication. I only write for my personal blog as a side hustle.
Then after they were done, they thanked me and I was pleased. That was the first time I have interviewed for a news report. It was a great experience, you know seeing yourself on live news TV. Good thing I didn’t stutter (laughs).

What is your opinion about this plan to impose additional 12% tax on online services in PH?

I’m frustrated enough to have a clear shot of this phenomenon currently happening. It’s partly cloudy here in our area.
I’m kind of hesitant to share these photos with you guys as I only get low quality and full of noise in the image. Nevertheless, the red blood moon is still visible.
But hey, isn’t it that this platform is named “Noise”? So, definitely, all types of noise are allowed. Just sayin’… 😋

I replaced the battery of my BT headphone.
Most electronic devices has a this type of battery - Lithium-ion. When your electronic device got its battery easily drain, it's because it gets swollen just like this one.
Batteries like this use chemical reaction to generate power. When the battery has reached its limit, it will no longer charge completely, which results in creation of gas, leading to swollen battery.
📌 Never use your electronic device while charging. You don't just destroy it's battery, you also put your life in a dangerous situation.
I’m excited to witness the lunar eclipse tomorrow. I don’t own a DSLR yet so I’m just making myself content with this telephoto lens for shooting the moon.

I noticed that most of you are sharing photos of whatever their Smartphone have captured. Some are sharing pictures of their daily activities while others are sharing photos with a photography-level kind of.
Speaking of photography, I am an enthusiast too. I have shared a lot of my photos using only my Smartphone in different social media platform. Most of them are captured with a macro lens. I just like to capture objects as close as possible. You know I am fascinated how small things look in a bigger view or angle.
The latest Smartphone these days have 3 or 4 cams that have the macro lens feature so you might not need this external macro lens. But have you tried adding a macro lens to your camera with a macro lens feature? That would become a super macro shot.
The photo above is the macro lens I am using with other sample shots taken with macro lens.
Anyway just in case you want to level up your photography skills, below is the link where I bought this macro lens for Smartphone.

No, I am not drinking beer tonight. This photo was taken last year. I wanted to drink iced cold beer so I froze this one here. As I put it out from the fridge my cat rushed to the table and licked the ice on the can that is why his tongue was out as you can see in this photo. 😄

Offering A Service Can Be Free of Charge First: Build Your Audience
These days Smartphone seems to be one thing we can’t live without. Some people take care of their Smartphone as their most precious possession while other could cares less.
I remember a social media post that says, losing a Smartphone these days is more dramatic than losing virginity. Funny how it seems but sometimes true.
In today’s post I will be talking about reasons why Smartphone break. Only recently, a friend of my wife asks if she could let me fix her daughters tablet because it was not charging. Then I ask my wife why and what was the reason for not charging. She said due to poor handling and that her friend’s daughter doesn’t give much value of such device. To make the story short I have fix the tablet. After a couple of weeks, the said tablet comes back to me and my wife said that her friend was kind of shameful because the device broke again despite the reminder I have said to take care of it. This time it was a dead set. The power won’t turn on and won’t charge either. According to her friend it was dropped accidentally. So I have to fix it again for the second time.
The next day my wife told me that her other friend wanted her husband’s phone fix too. The issue was the same, not charging. Then I have fixed it too and of course those are not free of charge.
Some people are too cautious when it comes to handling their mobile phone. They give them so much value. Well obviously because mobile devices like Smartphone are a kind of all-in-one-on-the-go. It took all the jobs of the audio cassette, VHS, SLR, calendar, calculator, mails, clock, radio and telephone. That’s the reason why it is expensive. Adding some extra features like installing game apps and social media friendly makes it pricier. This is also the reason why some bad guys are tempted to snatch a cell phone.
**Why Smartphone and Tablet break?**
In most cases mobile phones broke due to accidental circumstances like dropping, soaked with liquid or pressed with heavy object. My daughter for example always have a crack on her cell phone or tablet’s screen. The reason was poor handling. I am always reminding her to be careful; especially that she is a girl. You know it is the same thing in life and if no one will tell them about their wrong doings, they might grow up misguided and broke.
What’s the reason for android devices to not charge?
Whenever your Smartphone or tablet won’t power on and won’t charge after a drop shock. It doesn’t have serious damage unless the screen have cracks then you will have a serious problem with your phone.
Sometimes we are in hurry to plug the charging cable into our device that we failed to notice that it was reverse particular of USB Micro-B. But even if you have plugged it in reverse it will not fit in because of the shape. Unless you forcefully plugged it then definitely you ruin the micro USB female socket.
Smartphone these days are becoming thinner, meaning the components are becoming smaller and smaller. Mostly, manufactures are no longer making phones with removable batteries so you will definitely need a technician when your phone accidentally soaked in water or any liquid.
You must understand that Smartphone has a very complicated circuitry so most technicians will charge you a high price for labor cost just in case you wanted your phone fixed for a serious damage. If not, you will end up buying a new phone.
Caring our Smartphone doesn’t need to be hard. All you have to do is to be aware about how it works and basic knowledge about technology.

It’s Sunday again. A family day for almost everyone but not like me who has work duty on weekends so family day to us would be during my rest day.
Sharing with you here my buddy, she is 5 years old now. No boyfriend since birth (NBSB). Yes, because her parents are strict. 😁
But seriously my wife doesn’t want her to get pregnant by askals so she remains inside the house. Even my neighbors would want to breed their dogs with her still we don’t want to. She goes out only to pee and poop.
I make fun of her the other day and put my daughter's doll’s hair like a wig. I think she likes it. She looks ugly though. 😂
I don’t know what comes to my wife’s mind but she named her “Ampon”.
Hey, I know most of us here are fun of taking photos and posting them to whatever social media account we engage with.
Could you let me know if you meet these criteria?
- Have a digital camera or a smartphone
- Want to get paid to take photography pictures
- Able to work (full or part-time)
If you answered YES to the above, then you would be suitable to start getting paid to take photos!
I found this site that says to get paid to take photos and if you are interested you can register here: https://www.photojobz.com/join?hop=larszig
IF WE CAN UPLOAD PICTURES OF FLOWERS, FOODS, AND PLACES TO OUR SOCIALS FOR FREE WHY NOT SELL THEM INSTEAD?

I am still earning with Premise until now.
Photojobs is kind of new to me and I want to see how much I can earn with this.

I still have this 22-year old Philips FW-V55 VCD Mini HiFi System. This is not mine actually. It’s from my pop in-law inherited by my wife. They wanted to dump this but I decided to keep it. The reason was, this brand has a great quality when it comes to audio amps. I have not been using this for 5 straight years because I have several sound systems at home.
It's my rest day and since I have nothing to do this morning, I decided to check/clean it and use again. And yes, the dust and cobwebs were beautiful (laughs).
I have been keeping this for more than a decade now. The VCD and Audio cassette is no longer working so I just use its Auxiliary output for playing MP3.
I wish I could share with you the audio here so you can hear the sound quality but noise.app is limited to posting different type media.
Anyway, do you have sound system at home too? How many watts?

SIM Card Registration Law In The Philippines
Two months ago I posted about receiving text message scams. I frequently receive such text messages lately. It appears that these scammers are determined with their motive. Even lawmakers are now receiving similar text messages I am currently receiving.
The new administration appears to have acted quickly to make way for catching these scammers and or prevent people from being scammed. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has just signed the law about SIM card registration. This has been the first law he has signed so far.
The SIM Card Registration Act**, Republic Act No. 11934**, highlights the following and I have my own opinion on every details:
**1. Before selling SIM cards, telco companies and direct sellers are required to ask for a valid identification document.**
*Is it ok to purchase more than one SIM card as long as you have a valid ID document? Will direct sellers record the names of who purchased the SIM card?*
**2. Registering a SIM card with false or fictitious information, using fictitious identities, or carrying out fraudulent activities will be subject to appropriate penalties.**
*Yes I am a good citizen so there is no reason for me to register a false identity. Can I register my 10-year old child?*
*Scammers will be less likely to do scamming via text messages.*
**3. In case of a subpoena or court order, telcos must give out SIM card owners’ full names and addresses.**
*A possibility of security breach and possible leak of information from passing sensitive data to other entities. Anyone can be traced if the name was registered to a specific SIM card. Wiretapping can be eminent.*
**4. People with SIM cards already need to register with telcos within a certain time frame. SIM cards will be deactivated if you don’t.**
*If this is the case, people will be rushing to register their SIM card. I have three SIM cards, my wife has two, my daughter has two and my son has one. Can I register multiple SIM cards under my name? If so, how many SIM cards are allowed?*
**5. Subscriber SIM cards must be kept on file by telecommunications companies. A list of authorized dealers and agents nationwide must be submitted quarterly to the National Telecommunications Commission by companies.**
*How can we be so sure that telcos can protect our privacy? telcos has a lot of call center agents and some of them are hoppers, there will be a possible leak of private information.*
**6. Telcos may be asked by law enforcement agencies to look up the owner of a SIM card when they investigate crimes committed through phones.**
*Anyone can be investigated whenever law enforcement wants to investigate. Anyone can be a suspect to a crime as long as the law enforcer finds relevant information about a certain crime connected to a SIM card.*
*People have mixed opinions about this matter. Some jumped into conclusion of a possible privacy breach. There is also a potential of being tracked and monitored.*
*First things first, how much will it cost to register a SIM card? If there are fees, for sure common Filipino people will complain about this. It will add other expenses to their budget.*
*The plan to catch these scammers and other criminals through SIM card registration might be a great way to lessen the crimes. But there is always a possibility of risk of private data if it falls into wrong hands.*
*The law is mandatory so whether we like it or not, in the next couple of months, we will be registering our SIM card so you better choose a favorite cell phone number to register*.

I will try to sprout these guava seeds and plant them again. The last time I tried to plant guava was unsuccessful. I guess it was not properly cultivated.
Do you like guava fruit? My wife brings home some guava fruits when she came back from vacation. I like guava especially the smell of ripe guava fruit. It’s just so pleasing to my nose but my daughter hates the smell of it. Perhaps because she was born and raised in Metro Manila so she is not used to seeing or eating different local fruit growing in the province like guava.
Did you know that guava fruits and leaves have a lot of health benefits too? I remember boiled guava leaves used by my grandma to wash my wounds when I was a kid. It helps to heal the wound fast.
Below are just a few benefits of guava according to scientists and health experts.
• May Help Lower Blood Sugar Levels
• May Boost Heart Health
• May Help Relieve Painful Symptoms of Menstruation
• May Benefit Your Digestive System
• May Have an Anticancer Effect
• May Help Boost Your Immunity
• May Aid in Weight Loss

Batas eh... 🤐
Kapag minamamalas ka naman talaga!
I fetched my son from school yesterday. I noticed that my rear tire is kind of wobbling, i thought it was him moving in the back that caused the irregular movement of the motorcycle while on the road (62 kilos backride). But then i quickly realised and swerved to stop. Oh yes, we just had a flat tire.
Not one but two small nail. I ended up replacing the interior because it was completely worn out as i ran on flat tire. Good thing there was a vulcanising shop nearby.
Anyway i just make a quick noise before i head to office. Happy weekend people. Stay safe on the road whether you will drive or not. 😉
I have just posted an article on my blog site just in case you may find this interesting. It is about the dangers of radiation emitted from our smartphones.

The Hidden Danger in Your Pocket
As I have said in my previous post that I might not be posting here on a regular basis because I already have my own blog site to manage. I just thought you might need this information as helpful just as I always share in most of my previous articles. https://larszig.com/
Speaking of mobile phones, this is one device that contributes to several health problems. It includes headaches, blindness, and hair loss or might be more serious than that if you get addicted to a certain app or online game.
Smartphones can bring different levels of problems to people depending on how they use them. It can be emotional due to cyberbullying or fake news, mental problems due to addiction and can be physical problems due to misuse and radiation.
All types of mobile phone emit Radiofrequency (RF) radiation. According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the radiation standard for mobile phones or cell phones should be 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg). It has been known for many years that radiation can be harmful to the human body if exposed to a high level of Radiofrequency.
Some people just can’t limit themselves from overuse of their Smartphone thus absorbing more radiation. This can lead to serious health problems. They may not notice it yet right now but the effects will happen soon when their body can no longer handle the exposure.
Since handheld devices like cell phones are one thing people can’t live without these days, some companies are making solutions to this problem. Your EMF shield is one product that you might need to protect you from harmful radiation coming from our Smartphone and other electronic devices that emit signals. This is an Anti-radiation patch. You can stick it on the back of your mobile phone near the antenna.
Some people are kind of skeptical when it comes to products like this, especially if they don’t know about how electronic devices work. This might be pricey to some but if you have enough budgets why would you risk your health with the pleasure of your expensive Smartphone without knowing the dangers of it.
We can reduce the radiation absorption to our body without buying such products. You can just limit yourself from holding your Smartphone or keeping enough distance away from your body when not in use.
Life is easier now these days because of technology. But we must remember that the more we engage ourselves with technology the more we reduce our life expectancy.
