Let’s talk about the news. What was the latest trend? Do you always watch the news? Does the news tell us the truth?
In not early history about delivering the news to the public, it was printed on paper – The Newspaper. The radio broadcasting came and news was aired over the radio then eventually through television. With the advancement of technology news integrated their broadcast on the internet.
Today, different news companies find ways on how they deliver the news and even use social media to reach people.
But have you ever tried to wonder sometimes? Does the news really tell people the truth? Do we really know what we need to know?
Say for example in today’s current health crisis. The news doesn’t stop reporting about COVID19 since it has caused a lot of deaths worldwide. They are consistently reporting the number of deaths, infected people and or have recovered of the said killer virus. They have been monitoring this and are able to report to the public about how to avoid being infected, vaccination, crowded hospitals and even violators of the rules pertaining to health risk.
Do you think all people who died with COVID19 that are reported by the news media are really caused by this virus?
First thing first, where did that media get the information? Most likely they get the reports from the Health Ministry. All this information is gathered with the help of hospital records, mortuary and or local government units.
As a health protocol, persons who died with COVID virus are being burned or should be cremated not buried. It was also strictly advised not to hold vigil to avoid the spread of the deadly virus.
Heart Attack Listed As COVID Case
Recently, my wife told me that his friend’s brother-in-law died of cardiac arrest. The body has been examined and found no signs of COVID symptoms. However the family lacks financial assistance for the burial due to the pandemic and the one who died doesn't have a decent job. They wanted to have a vigil but due strict health guidelines they were not allowed to do so. Then at the mortuary the wife was offered free burial but the body should be cremated and thus it should be recorded as COVID case. The government is offering free cremation for people who died of COVID especially if the family left behind has nothing in terms of financial matters. So the wife agreed on the terms.
Upon hearing the story told by my wife, I came to the conclusion that the total number of death reports about COVID might not really be all COVID related. But you will not hear on the news about this. What the news tells us about this virus just makes people anxious.
Sometimes when I hear or watch the news about COVID on TV, I feel weak. I feel like the virus is traveling through the radio waves and coming out of the TV screen infecting people. The news just worsens the case.
When the vaccine was first tested, some people died according to the news. There were speculations too of the mass depopulation and that the virus is not really that will kill people but the vaccines.
People are confused. Some even panicked and wanted to get vaccinated right away. What should we really have to believe? Who really should we trust?
In the past few months I always watch the news on TV to get me updated on the local and international reports about the current issues. But recently I have stopped watching local news when it comes to this issue. It just causes confusion particular to people who lack understanding about it.
What happen if the news tells the truth?
We are no longer innocent about journalists disappearing and then a few days later found dead. There were also instances that a journalist has been shot dead right after airing some sensitive matters. Some receive death threats and the worst is that the entire broadcasting company might be shut down by the government if it keeps on exposing secrets behind the scenes. If the news also tells the truth it may also cause hysteria to some people that may lead to violent reaction.
If we really want to know the real story of something particular or those trending news circulating on every social media platform, we should do our own research. We should not be always relying on the news aired on TV or radio broadcast and most especially on social media. Remember that there are people who are making money out of spreading fake news.
You can find almost all information at the top of your hand or the screen in front of you. The internet is one source of huge information so make use of it. We should see and verify for ourselves if the news is really reporting correct information. Whether the information we found is right or not, then we decide for our own knowledge.

This is really informative and I agree with this. Not all news we hear or we watch on television is truth. This is one of the major problem because of the news the people got panic more and be worried and conscious everyday.
When I was in Cebu how many times I've heard with this article from yours Bjorn. Some are working on it for the money.🥺 This is so sad.🥺
Take care Bjorn...🙏
