Satoshi Nakamoto: Captured, Interrogated and Tortured

I was browsing torrent-downloads yesterday to look for new films to download and watch, as I have not watched a film for a couple of weeks now.

I have been very busy with my WFH job these days. That is why I no longer have time to watch films which I used to do before I go to bed. The only free time I have is devoted to writing stories for you guys to read but unfortunately I can no longer do it on a daily basis.

Yesterday I didn't write and decided to just read some good posts from here and then leave a comment for some interaction. Then I checked torrent-downloads website to look for new films.

I have downloaded at least four films which include, “Army of Thieves” and “Decrypted”. Of course I watched “Decrypted” first.

I guess you already have a clue of the film from the title itself. Yes it is about Crypto. I will go down straight to tell you about the film like making this a bit of a spoiler.

The good thing about this is that the film was released only yesterday, November 1, 2021 by Substantialfilms.

Decrypted is a film about trying to destroy Bitcoin. Since it was invented in 2009 by the name Satoshi Nakamoto, it has been widely adopted because of its potential in terms of Blockchain technology, particularly cryptocurrency. Being a decentralized digital currency, the banks and governments were unable to control it. Thus during Trump's administration, they consider Satoshi Nakamoto as a terrorist.

The film is a dark provocative comedy so most likely it’s kind of for adults only. A mismatch NSA team kidnapped Satoshi Nakamoto and attempted to torture him so that they can get information until finally destroying cryptocurrencies.

Akie Kotabe played the role of Satoshi Nakamoto and has been mispronounced by NSA agent Buck Johnson (David Hoflin) as Sushimi Nakamoto, Sushi Makanoto, Sopochi Nakamoko or Sushi Nasamakoto.

Johnson then injected a truth drug to Satoshi so the latter can freely tell the information about cryptocurrency but then before Johnson can do that he accidentally drinks the drug liquid. Thus, making him tell things about his dark secrets like seeing his soldier father in front of the mirror wearing his mom’s undies.

While they were getting high on the drugs, Satoshi finally confesses that he is not really the Bitcoin creator. He said that his real name is Jee Kim Lee, a Crypto Anarchist.  Someone who is dedicated to urging people to engage unlimited free speech and economic transactions beyond the reach of the corrupt states ability to detect and regulate.

Agent Beth Barnes (Sophia Myles) found out that Jee Kim’s plan was to attack NSA by uploading Malware to NSA mainframe using Barnnes’s email account.  It will expose all the people who want to sabotage the Cryptocurrency. But instead of interrupting Jee Kim (Satoshi) she had helped him by providing the encryption key to infiltrate the NSA's main server.

Before Jee Kim has finally uploaded the malware the Delta team sent by Colonel Pike (Kevin McNally) opens fire. There were exchanges of gunfire and just as Jee Kim (Satoshi) had to press enter on the laptop keyboard he was shot on his forefinger and on his neck causing him to fall down dead.

The shooting incident had killed almost all of them. One agent from the delta team was alive and went through the table to cancel the uploading of the malware. Unfortunately when he walked through Jee Kims dead body, he stumbled over then accidentally pressing the enter button on the keyboard with his left hand thus sending the malware. Simultaneously, he shot himself in the neck with the gun on his right hand.

The film was indeed dark, outrageous, hilarious and provocative. It did not just tell all about Cryptocurrencies. It tells about prejudice, personal views, racism, sexuality and anarchism.

I guess one thing that this film wants to send a message to us is freedom. Global unity. Not only because of any cryptocurrencies but because of ideas we share that are free and no one owns.

Ideas have no border. Love knows no boundaries.

Thanks for reading. Ciao!

what interest me here is that how the film makers integrate crypto with different personalities of evry cast portrays.

and the desire of people who wants to bring down cryptocurrency but just can't.
