Turning Food Into Art (Anime Style)
I used to watch anime alot and i fell in love with Japanese food because they used to portray the food so delicious in anime .That was also the reason why i fell in love with ramen . So after becoming a professional digital illustrator i wanted to make such artworks that could make people wanna try my country's food thats related to our culture and heritage as well
First i took some good pictures of our national breakfast wilhich is andha Paratha ( Paratha with omelette) .
The crockery used in this picture was also a traditional handwooven straw platter which we call Changair/ Pindi here on top of it was a Kandoori ruman ( the cloth napkin you see ) they usually are very embroidered .We use them to. Wrap our wheat flat bread. So it doesn't go dry .
On top of that was my Flat wheat bread cooked with clarrified butter which makes it delicious and crunchy last was the omelette with all the veggies 😍
After taking the pictures i chose a picture that was from top view angle and i started drawing the basic base layer on which i was just adding the shapes i saw of all objects
Circle for the platter Some red base layer for the kandoori
A base layer for paratha. A base layer in light yellow for the omelette i know it can be colorful but base layers are just the beginning .
After adding the base layers i clipped the platter layer and added it with a rope like brush to give it that woven touchFor the next layer i added. The background layer which was a pink shade and shaded the Kandoori Rumaal .After that i clipped layers to the paratha and added shadows and highlights used some sparkles as a way to show glistening butter over it.
Next i shaded the omelette by adding a brown tone to the omelette which makes it look a bit caramelized and added dots randomly to show the spices on the omelette .Then I added veggies and some highlights over it
And added a shadow layer on top put it on multiply mode so you can get the effect off that sun light over it. I added the Hamock in back ground with the same rope brush and made shadows off everything
And this was the final results .
Tell me more about whats your nation breakfast and i can try making it that too 😍♥️
It's really creative and talented that you convert a picture into beautiful art design. Impressive 😍
