Channa Chaat(chickpea Salad)
Since its Ramadan one of the dishes we always have around are Salads and mostly chickpea salad .
Apparently in our home after dates there are two more things that need to be on the iftar menu
One is rooh afza (the rose syrup drink) second is Channa chaat (chickpea salad )
I am gonna share that recipe today here .
Chickpeas are rich in Protein and nutrients also all the ingredients in this Salad bowl are entirely nutritious and yummy so lets begin.
Ingredients you need :
Chickpeas
Cucumber
Tomatoes
Red onion
Cilantro
Boiled potatoes
Tamarind sauce
Lemon juice
Salt and pepperika
Method:
Dice all the veggies and add your boiled chickpeas (i usually do traditional way i let them soak over night and slow boil them you can cook with Baking soda , use a pressure cooker too or canned chickpeas ) , add lemon juice salt pepper and the tamarind sauce ( just let turmeric soak in water for 15 minutes and use the pulp as sauce). Mix it all up and you are done enjoy.

I never tasted that recipe but as I look at it, it looks so yummy.
